This does NOT need 3 decks.

Despite being a 1-way back, and standard courts, the black/gold deck is decent. If it's more than $15 then it's overpriced, though.

I did like the originals, and I like the effect of the cold foil that I see here, but I will be refraining from buying unless the price is amazing (which I don't expect). The originals were sold as "marked" and "unmarked," but the "unmarked" decks were also marked, they were just marked *differently*, which was disappointing.

How can you see that it's a one-way back? :o
Also do you think the general hype for Butterflies is comparable with the Mint brand?

The flower in the middle of the back design has 5 corners so it's a one way.

Agree there's no need for three different colours. And I'm sure they'll be more than 15 USD.

I'll wait until Ondrey offers refills, which are priced more sensibly.

Please note that these three decks (Black & White, Black & Silver and Black & Gold) are prototypes and 500 of each were printed, but only 250 B&Ws and 200 B&S / B&G will be available for sale on April 2. Ondrej mentioned that 250 of the B&S / B&G were gilded and will be used for a crowdfunding project this summer, while the 200 for sale on the 2nd are not gilded (I think the other 50 was used for testing purposes and giveaways). I assume that there will also be some B&W decks available on the crowdfunding project as well.
A deck a day helps keep the addiction at bay!

Such a relief to look at silver foil + black inks deck. It was my only concern in HT Black project. Looks nice! Thanks for the photos!

I'm guessing they're just posting tomorrow. The date and time of release are the same for the three variations.

Quotes updated, the gold is the same as the silver:
Black & White €19.95
Black & Silver €29.95
Black & Gold €29.95

I'm not familiar with Butterfly, but judging by the way they're saying about this Cartamundi non-gilded prototype set, there might not be a refill at any point? :?:

Yes I had a chat with Ondrej this morning to discuss the percentage off when you spent at least $75... I had not seen it applied and Ondrej checked into it and promptly refunded some money. I assume he did the same to other folks who had spent at least $75

Class act all the way...

I would have liked to have one of the foil backed decks but that price was way too much for what they were.

I'm pretty damn annoyed that I missed these.

I only briefly looked at the tucks and made a mental note to have a closer look at the cards later on, but someone must've thrown the note away as I completely forgot. I quite like them.

Thanks for the positivity. :)

Got mine today... I noticed a small error on the black and silver tuck. It says black and gold on the bottom instead of black and silver

Edit. Looks like Ondrej had already put that in the description.. As usual I did not read the details hehehe
