Looks like I'm going to spend some money on Tax Day. Amazing illustrations - can't wait to own these tiny works of art!

I've always admired your art and am in awe of the detail you manage to put into your cards, but they've never really been "my thing." These, however … well, let's just say that I'm currently having to hold a cushion on my lap. XD

Ah , that's the same date as TGW's Parlour. Love the look, can't to read to lore behind this deck. My early nominee for 2019 UC DotY courts .
However, I have to ask how does the white/light grey details look printed on actual cards? Will it get lost or still have enough to show? The AoH white/grey details at the bottom and the Luminosity name already blend in somewhat with the background on my screen. And that's at such a big blowup of the cards.
It'll be shame for such fine details to get lost when shrunk down into a card.

I was trying to see when TGW would be launching, but they didn't know and were waiting for their video to be finished. Oh well, can't really plan these things out to not coincide with so many decks being launched at the same time.Eric Lee wrote:Ah , that's the same date as TGW's Parlour. The silver corner detail will have a silver metallic finish to it. It's meant to me more of an accent and detailing to give more interest and not be the main thing.

This is true for me as well. Previous decks were good, just not quite my cup of tea. Always good to see designers with a good "artistic range"Timmargh wrote:I've always admired your art and am in awe of the detail you manage to put into your cards, but they've never really been "my thing." The design of the AoH looks awesome and I'm always happy to see the aces of each suit get similar attention to detail and treatment as the AoS... can't wait to see the rest!

Thanks Romeril for posting the time for the launch. Jody, Randy, Steve Minty, Paul Ruccio. 4 Hogs, and TGW all having Kickstarters at the same time. Also, just finishing paying for Lotrek's Blue Silk decks. I guess I can be glad Alex Chen doesn't have anything out now...my bank account is getting a workout for sure.
10 MST is the same as 12 PST though....

Btw, is there a spreadsheet of deck releases for this year similar to the one PipChick did for 2018?

Re: Jody Eklund's new project-LUMINOSITY: The Kingdom of Lig
So, I have to push my launch date to Wednesday next week. It will now be Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at 10am MST.
I had a special video that I wanted to do with some after effects. A friend was supposed to help me with it, but instead, I have to do myself now. I will be working over the weekend and a few days next week to finish it up. There is also some promotional things I want to do for the first few days of the campaign that needs a little more time to tie up.
I apologized, but it will be well worth the extra wait. Thanks for the understanding.

Only here am I posting these...
There will be two decks being offered. One is the standard unlimited and the other is a Kickstarter Exclusive. Both printed by USPCC.
I will be posting the preview link on Monday with hopefully a finished video.
Let me know your thoughts.

Re: Jody Eklund's new project-LUMINOSITY: The Kingdom of Lig
From what I see there is only ONE deck and TWO tuck boxes.jodyeklund wrote: There will be two decks being offered. One is the standard unlimited and the other is a Kickstarter Exclusive. Both printed by USPCC.
If that's the case, then I hope we can pledge from one tuck or the other, and not force us to pledge for the standard so we can add the KS exclusive (which is the one I'm looking for).
So as I already expressed this deck is fantastic, one of this year's best so far (and will be hard to find another one so good), but having "two" decks of the same is not worth, IMO, this is a big trend for almost every creator, but for me it is becoming more and more a criteria to not support a specific KS project. It will not happen on this one, but this is something I've been doing for sometime now.

I really like both tucks. Good question whether the decks would be the same though.

Re: Jody Eklund's new project-LUMINOSITY: The Kingdom of Lig
Well, I hope you all saved a little my my project
Video completed!!! This one is a little more special than what I have done before. I actually used Adobe After Effects and Premier Pro to edit the video. Never used them before. And, had my friend do a voiceover. Also, got most of the rewards in. I have two days to tweak everything.
As promised, here is the link to the project: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/91 ... n=0bc6cd75" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I know some of you might wonder why all of the cards are not shown. I will be revealing more as the project plugs along.
Let me know what you think, what you would like to see that I might not have put up.
Thanks!
Jody

Not only do these look great, I didn't even notice they're made by a fellow Coloradan!
I'll just skip lunch this week to afford more cards.
