Obec Studio - Shipping Issues

Writing this as a neutral-negative review for obec.studio. They're somewhat active on instagram, but their shipping/customer service was poor enough for me to leave this review. At this point, I have requested a cancellation/refund as they have missed 5 shipping estimates.

tl;dr, 2 orders placed in October 2019 still have not shipped, they didn't have the product in hand and also did not state they were doing pre-orders.

Timeline:
Order 1 Placed Oct. 8th 2019
Order 2 Placed Oct. 21st 2019

Obec Email Update 1 Oct 21st 2019: "We noticed you made an order of the last stock from drop #1 this month, and some of you wanted us to hold your orders and merge them with the orders you want to make of drop #2. So we decided to hold fulfillment until November 10 in order to avoid confusion and unnecessary shipping costs. We created a coupon that will discount $7.50 usd from your new orders in case you want to merge them with your last order"

Obec Email Update 2 Nov 21st 2019: "Sorry for the delay on your email, we had an issue with the manufacturing of the cards that was caused due to a delay from United States Playing Card Company, who had an overwhelmingly high demand in preparations for black friday.
The cards are ready, as we speak we are arranging the delivery from USPCC to our logistics facility, so the fulfillment will start within the following week."

Obec Email Update Nov 23rd Public Email: "Sorry for keep you waiting on your order, due to overwhelmingly high volume of orders for black friday, USPCC had a delay in the production. The cards are NOW ready, and we are arranging the delivery from USPCC to our logistics facility, so the fulfillment will start within the next 10 days."

Obec Email Update Dec 11th Private Email: "I'm happy to tell you orders are shipping today and you will be getting them soon we are sending an email today to announce this update, we are also announcing a giveaway exclusive to all our supporters."

Obec Email Update Dec 20th Private Email: "We are very sorry for the inconvenience, last week we were about to ship orders but we ran out of stickers. So we made an order and the new strikers are coming this Monday, then we will update your order with the tracking number and i swear you won't be disappointed."

Obec Email Update Dec 23rd Private Email: "we have the cards and clothes ready at the warehouse, but the boxes stickers and posters were sent today to the warehouse and will be there this wednesday and only then we will be able to send them out for you."

I didn't order anything but got an email newsletter yesterday of obec, in which they wrote all orders are shipped now. Is the situation resolved? Did you got a tracking no.? Kind of a huge turn off that apparently a lot of cardistry brands lead by young adults aren't reliable when it comes to clear updates and customer service.

I ended up cancelling my order which they took care of within an hour. Didn't feel like being strung along, they would've missed the next 2 deadlines they offered too at the time. That said, I'm glad they shipped out, I might pick something up later this year.
