Hello UC,
after a lot of hard work prepping I am finally ready to share my prelaunch page with anyone interested in joining me on the journey of creating the Sardines deck...

LAUNCH DATE: 10th November 18:00pm GMT

These cards will be printed using the new VIPER FINISH at Legends Playing Card Company. The tuck box will use a pearlescent tuck stock and interior tuck printing. The card backs will have a foil area where the Sardine tin is peeled back as if to reveal the metal inside. The tuck will have a custom seal.

I've had a lot of fun playing with the prototypes for these cards and I am looking forward to seeing the real thing. I think the card fan will be really fun to play with as the sardines are revealed along the edge of the cards.

hey, are you based in the UK and if so any chance your KS will have UK friendly shipping?

Hello,

yes, as much of a nightmare as it has been dealing with logistics in post-Brexit Britain, I intend to offer UK fulfilment myself. Meaning I can limit the shipping costs to my UK customers. Obviously, there are still Customs/Duty charges associated with shipping items from overseas however I know I can save my UK backers some money by handling these orders myself.

I think that's the right choice. There's so much going on with this deck it's perfect to have a little white space there. Otherwise, the face cards might look a little too crammed, like... hmmm

I realise that since I have rebranded to Squiddle Ink since my previous deck releases, it may be a good idea to introduce myself in this thread and give more details about my experience. In short, I am the resident designer for the Worshipful Company of Playing Cards in the UK and each year we produce commemorative decks in preparation for the installation of the new Mayor. I also ran a successful Kickstarter campaign for my deck 'Fishing For Compliments' back in 2015 which I followed up by producing the Legends branded Digital Petroglyphs deck. Earlier this summer I was featured at the 52 Plus Joker convention and I produced a video detailing all the decks I have worked on over the years. There was also a Q&A which is available on the 52 Plus Joker youtube channel and I was featured in issue #89 of the Card Culture magazine. The Sardines deck is the first deck I am releasing under my brand Squiddle Ink.

So funny you picked up on that. I realised after I had filmed it.. just a slip of the tongue... I'm sorry to all Whovians

The Rush Deck is undergoing some renovation and a slight pivot in printing technique so that will be moved to next year now. I need to get that deck shimmering with gold for obvious reasons.

My older decks are pretty much all sold out. They were ultra-limited runs and they all got bought up. I only have a few left in my personal collection.
