Hey yall!

I have just teased my Patreon Exclusive deck for my March - May patrons.

The deck is called BIRDSxBEES and features gothic illustrations of Ravens, feathers, Bees, and Honey! With a darker twist, of course.

Here are the card back concept images.

All patrons get the regular edition, while only League of Villains members get the Villainous Edition!

Cant wait to show more.

Well, buddy.

Its all about how hatching eggs and pollinating flowers is a completely natural part of those specific animals' life-cycles, and how we, as humans also have reproduction and spreading seeds as a part of lives as well. /s

However, this deck has nothing to do with that.

This deck is solely about how f***ing cool bees and black birds look when paired together.

I almost turned this deck into a kickstarter campaign because I love the imagery so much.

Haha, oh well, my kickstarter decks are way more complex and already planned out for the next year haha

The top half of the card back is normally the one oriented correctly and the bottom half is the mirrored/upside down one. I'm not married to this classic layout but I would say in this case it would look better. I like how expressive the grapics look. Any info on the courts? Custom?

I definitely do like to mix it up and go with what I would buy, sometimes haha.

Courts will be two-way mirrored, all custom faces, as with most if not all my decks. I don't care for traditional courts all that much.

I really like the Standard and I understand the theme but I am not sure about the honeycomb pattern. Not that I have a better idea LOL

I like the images you have so far. Have you tried the back design with black outer borders or maybe with the honeycomb outlined in black or another color?

Well of course. Closer to February the whole Deck should be completed.

MPC and others print small batches cost effectively - tucks raise the cost quite a bit but still not impossibly high - I had a one off done for $45 or so if I remember correctly…

Unrelated, but am I tripping or did you have a project called Crypt planned for the future?

Like Gandlaf said I have to use MPC due to the small batches.

However, I get a discount through MPC for being a constant user and my decks usually are around 20$ each because of their quantity pricing changing depending on how many you get printed.

I haven't had any complaints of quality yet either, which is nice. I really like MPC, and I would use them for printing full on kickstarters just because their UX is so much more visually appealing (and thin borders)

I have never had a project called 'Crypt' as far as I remember. I had RITUAL upcoming after SPIRITS, but since all the completed files were lost in the hard-drive incident of 2024, I decided to start fresh with a different idea I had been rolling around with, and come back to RITUAL after!
