Lorenzo is on a roll. He never disappoints with his decks, and this is no exception. His KS campaigns are always run first class without excessive delays. He might be the only remaining artist where it's an automatic buy for me. Uusi used to be there as well, but they don't really do playing cards anymore and I'm not into tarot. Would a Stockholm17 and Uusi collaboration be too much of a fantasy? If my house was on fire and I could only save decks from one single designer from my collection, I think Lorenzo's decks are the ones I rescue.

He gave a three month window to solve the quest. Plenty of time and waited for the vast majority of people to have it in hand first.
ok. The rewards are picked randomly from the people that solved it? I thought it was the first 3 people or something alike.

He puts all the people who solved it into that randomized "spin the wheel" thing and runs it thrice.

Last time I was one of 27 who solved it so the odds of winning was 1/9. Took me a few days. This time, I haven't been able to solve it at all and I'm frustrated. There's something I'm missing that's keeping me stagnant.

That’s correct. All solvers get entered into a pool and three are randomly selected.

Doesn't matter how slow or fast you are at solving. In the end, it's a matter of the roll of the dice X.X

If everyone received their decks/books etc. at the same time then being the quickest to solve it would be fair, but a randomised pick is the fairest that Lorenzo could make it.

Yeah that would give an unfair advantage to certain regions over others. Someone solved the puzzle before I had even received my pledge.

Appreciate the heads up @Strag. Got me some stuff of this superb project. Cartamundi being out for this project was the best to ever happen for me personally. WJPC handling's just so much nicer. Handling the decks is just 😘👌. Not mentioning the artwork because... well, it's Lorenzo we're talking about, so everyone knows it's A++. Cards and tuck boxes have so much clean and crisp details to unravel and discover... 😘👌 again.

I just received my package and the cover of the book seems to be upside down in relation to the pages. Is this a known issue or did I just get unlucky?

Less than a week left to solve the quest! How are you all doing?

My wife and put in many fruitless hours over the last few weekends, not able to figure out what we were missing... but we finally cracked it last night! Feels so good to to have persevered and won. :D

I know all the information for step 1, the working page numbers, card info, etc. and yet I can't solve it. If I could figure that one part out, I'm confident I could do the rest. Still very frustrated at the triplex.

Ruben's use of "complex" doesn't help my ego when I'm genuinely feeling dumb that I can't figure out this puzzle designed for the masses. Dw, I understand this isn't a reflection of my intelligence but it's still frustrating nonetheless.

Lorenzo said 16 people have solved it so far which is significantly less than the 27 from last time.

Apparently you could team up? I thought that would've been unfair but he suggested it and seemed to be fine with it... :?

I feel like this puzzle is a bit harder than last time, but I wonder how many more people are trying this time, and how any are going to try to figure it out at the last minute. I certainly don't see an issue with people teaming up, they just have to come to some kind of agreement as to how to split the prizes if they actually win the lottery. I've asked some of my friends who enjoy puzzles and games for help, and they were instrumental in finding that last thing I was missing both times. I didn't win the drawing the first time, so that was a non-issue, and if I get lucky this time around, I don't think they have any interest in the prizes.

Besides, I was the one who finally put everything together in the end! :ugdance: :ugking:

Just got my set a couple weeks or so ago. Opened the book today; definitely didn’t realize how long it will take to read through everything and solve the puzzle. Not going to beat the deadline but will still try to solve.

If it helps, reading the book is not needed to solve the quest, but you still need the book.

I failed to complete the first one, and didn't want to spend the money needed to get the required pieces for this one.

Fun fact: I solved the Room17 puzzle using the promo art alone, before Lorenzo even released the deck and PDF, but didn’t enter the answer when he opened the contest because I felt guilty.

I second this; you absolutely do not need to read the book, for either puzzle, but you do need to refer to the book, and the primary instructions are found in the book. Looking forward to reading the story eventually though... Seems like it could be pretty fun =)

It turns out that my frustrations were because I didn't fully realize the center part of my Orbis Triplex needed to move as well. It took a lot to pry it out and manually try to spin it  I did feel like a goofball considering Lorenzo had posted about the issue and I had mistakenly thought he was referring to the upper spinning part instead. Thankfully th4mo sent me this gif and doublechecked if mine was working properly. Quest complete ✅

Even if you were not selected as 1 of the 3 winners, you will still get a juicy 30% off code for his store. Lorenzo is a badass. If more creators took notes from his playback then they would have more success.
