I pretty much check habitually to keep the forums and community updated, so sometimes I end up beating creators to the punch while they're still tweaking and fiddling with their projects, before they make any announcements.

Haha yes that is exactly what has happened! This only went up yesterday as we are promoting the pre-launch page with flyers included in the Albatross fulfilment, which is happening as I type.

Apart from that one promo image that Kevork has posted, we haven't anything to show yet and are still finalising the project for a (hopefully) July launch.

We will share more when we have more to share, but I will say, this is our most ambitious and versatile project yet. Cheers

I love this poster/pic. I think of this character as belonging to an earlier time than the people depicted in the few courts that I have seen so far but I know very little about history. I have found out that cars did not begin until the very end of the Victorian era (the time period for the courts) so I guess the highwayman was still around for some of that period.
The more highway men the better IMO.

Yes of course by old fashioned down to earth morals and decency we simply mean the kind of values we try to run our business and creative projects with. Honesty, keeping our word, kindness and doing things properly without cutting corners. It also kinda ties in with our love of all things classic and traditional in the playing card world, being inspired by vintage styles from a bygone age.

I really like the backs, I still like that poster the most but the blue tuck comes close. Red is not normally my favorite but I love the flower work, a girl reading a book looks good but I am not sure it is me. I would snap up both if there were editions with the classic faces of the mini. I love dogs almost as much as I love cards so the mini should be for me. There is something about the dog on the backs which is not grabbing me - I think it might be the shading

These decks are undoubtedly another fantastic contribution to custom cards by Alex . I have put myself on "Love, Love, Love" rating budget and I'm not sure Love & Retribution gets the 3rd love in order to buy. In the spirit of this romantic theme - I am pondering it

I mean, gilded decks are beautiful, but I feel they’ve been taken for granted in the collection hobby. It’s like: some people will scream if new decks don’t have gilded variants and so forth.

Not to mention, the prices too T.T I want to avoid them, but completionist personality begs to differ haha

I'm a bit different. I love tucks so if there is a standard and gilded version with the same tuck, I'll opt for the standard version. If there is a gilded version with a different tuck, then I'm less likely to back the campaign. It gets trickier when it's standard (CMYK) and foil versions. I love that the campaign tries to accommodate everyone with its offerings.

Overall, excellent project, Alex! I'll have to consider this one. The art is brilliant.

If its the same tuck box, at least have a numbered seal that will help differentiate. OTHERWISE, you mights just accidentally opened a gilded deck which you supposed to keep it close

Thanks guys! And yes Laito the gilded variations will have metallic sticker seals in gold & silver to differentiate them, like our Golden Eagles did, so no accidental mix-ups. Cheers!

Hey everyone. We have just posted an update on our campaign introducing everyone to the cast of characters that make up Love & Retribution, starting with the Club Courts. Every element of this project was dreamt up and created from scratch by me and Charlotte, including the characters that feature on the court sets in the decks of playing cards (and the dog featured in our mini), who also feature in the book (of course). Huge fan of these and A. Haines' work in general. It's also nice that it's UK based so I don't get crushed by shipping costs. Due to space considerations, I'm "only" backing for one of each standard, plus the mini, plus the coin. But I may up it as I really feel like I need to "free the pips" on this one and probably need two of each instead.

Gilded isn't that big a deal for me, so I don't reall feel the need to get them, but nice that the option is there for those who want it.
