Exactly. The problem aren't the courts

. Thus my point is proven.
Ive performed with Standard bikes and Kingstar swordsman deck to the same spectator and while they could easily understand and work with the Bikes that wasn’t the case with Kingstar deck due to the custom courts and pips . The more closer to standard courts and pips the artwork is the less chance of spectators being unable to understand.

Some customized decks work better than others. Font choice for the indexes is a huuuge consideration, in that regard. Clarity in the illustration and design is also key. YMMV.

One spectator... great sample size for a verdict. My point (that it's not the courts that cause problems but the attention of your spectators and/or the familarity to only one court set is the problem) still is stands, since by your statement, people (plural) had even problems with standard courts.
My previous point wasn't that custom courts don't cause any trouble. Of course they can if your audience is just used to one set of courts.
But your point (and echoed by many before thus my comment) was that they can't be used! Which is just incorrect as you can make them work if you're willing to. Make your audience familiar with them.
I'm just glad to be priviledged to live in Europe where we have a huge variety of different courts and suits cross the countries and are not hellbend on those ugly af USPCC standard courts for convinience sake.

Yes with explaination custom courts can be used , but standard court cards make it much easier.

And yet you have people struggle with standard courts. So the courts are again not the problem. But I can see why they are a problem for some, lel.

Unless they are specifically made as the high tier rewards for year 4, every Patreon will have access.

How is Lotrek's timeline with KS projects? Does it last 2-3 years as well? This may or may not be my first oath decks, depending on price range

What has been seen often cannot be unseen. I noticed that the queen has an Adam's apple and now it seems very prominent to me. Yes, I know females have Adam's apples.

I would say, with his recent history (past 5 years), a backer needs to be very clear-eyed about his ability to project timelines. As he has shared, his stuff is complicated and very experimental. Combine that with perfectionist tendencies and delivery timing is franky an open question.
It's year 5 of his Patreon and year 2 still hasn't been delivered. Year 1 was delivered about 6 months or so ago. So to say that Codex might not deliver until 2027 or 28 is not out of the realm of possibility. If you support, you have to be willing to accept that it may be a while. If you go in knowing this, you won't be frustrated. Just set your expectations and don't take him at his word as far as delivery. It's not that he is untruthful. He is just really, really, REALLY bad at time estimates.

Also expect.... when he finished printing, and after seeing the prints, he goes... "FUDGE IT! IT'S NOT PERFECT! NEED TO TRY AGAIN!"
It happened once, at least for me XD, for MYSTERY III

As far as I recall, Lotrek mentioned that the Kickstarter decks would be printed by prominent manufacturers such as USPCC, Cartamundi, EPCC, or Legends, rather than featuring Lotrek’s signature foiling. Initially, the plan was to have them printed by Cartamundi, but since Cartamundi has now closed, my guess is that EPCC will be the one to print the decks .I have reached out both under his post and on the Discord server to inquire whether a Collector’s Edition will be released and am currently awaiting a response.Having missed all previous Oath Kickstarters, I would be thrilled if this campaign follows a similar structure to his earlier ones — starting with a Player’s Edition -> Collector’s Edition -> Limited Collector’s Edition. If EPCC or a comparable printer handles the production, I believe the turnaround time should be relatively quick.

Got a response on Discord. Holy shit! There will be a Collector's Edition !! I'm not sure then maybe Players will be printed by his CMYK printer in Greece, with Collector's Edition in the equation now I would consider much more time.

He's said as much in the Patreon thread that he can get CMYK decks printed in a few weeks. It's the super detailed multi -foil decks which throw all time estimates out the window.
If it's just a basic (for Lotrek) single hot-foil+CMYK deck, it's not unrealistic to think we can see it by year end or early 2026, if none of the calamities that has been known to befall Lotrek when he tempts fate too much occur.
Chronos is a great example how fast Lotrek could design, print and deliver a single hot-foiled deck. Check out the thread
here on UC to see the timeline.
Announced end of Sept 2019, delivered beginning Nov 2019.

Lotrek seems like a super nice guy and very engaging on this forum, but there are 2 reasons why I don't buy Oathpcc decks: I can't afford them and Lotrek's fulfillment is unprofessional and borderline incompetent. But he seems super nice so many give him a pass. And his cards are beautiful.

Buying second hand helps with the fulfillment time, cost not so much.

I will buy any new courts that Lotrek produces, so depending on the Codex offerings I will most likely back for the cheapest and easiest deliverable option. What I don't need is multiple, ever more elaborate versions of the same courts.
The exception would be when/if he releases the foiled edition of The Golden Rule, but simple foil would make me happy.
I'm content with my collection that includes Icons Anniversary Standard, Moresque Gilded, Silk Players, and the Redemption VI version of Patrons.

On this point I would disagree personally - I don’t give him a pass because he’s a nice guy, though that does make it more pleasant - I give him a pass because I don’t think of him as a standard card producer but a standard artist of high order. An artist can come with eccentricities and lack of commercial focus that makes stores run smooth.
I worked for a big name, very eccentric artist for three years - so perhaps I have built up a tolerance, as the time I spent waiting there was unholy.

The Mystery 3 printing is finally being done so I believe that's where all his attention is right now, checking that the foiling is all done correctly. So Codex should be launched once he's finally completed Mystery 3.
