I agree last year’s LE did not match the renders, but I still like mine. Anyway, as others have said this year it is Rick’s project. I have zero doubt the LE decks will not blow me away. That plastic plate engraving is already stunning. Changed to green or orange is just making my mind spin.

So, when is the time we can pledge for the LE decks? I thought I read here at Noon New York time, but in the campaign discussion I seem to recall seeing it said it starts at 3PM New York time.

Either way, I think I'll be lucky to get one -- unless Rick does a favour for his Antipodean brethren. Launching at 4am or 7am on a Sunday is no fun

Also, to those upping their pledge for the LE, notice that the price listed in the latest update is different than the price of the update before it (which I assume was an estimate by Rick). The correct price to up your pledge by for the LE is $83 NZ or $162 NZ for the pair (~$60 USD each).

And in just under 3 hours the Signature Edition sold out. Congrats Rick and Mike.

There might be a few, but close enough. We truly appreciate the strong and quick backers response for these! I understand the angst of some people after not being 100% last year, but I can assure you that these are going to be EPIC! When you throw the laser-cut acrylic placque into the laser-cut tucks, it's just going to be spectacular, IMHBOCO.

I suspect there might be a couple of the Aurum (gold) version, but unless we missed on the counts, the Veridi / UC green version probably gone.

IF you missed and want one (either, there _IS_ a possiblity that there are 1 or more of the green version), please message Rick (PM here or KS message) directly and let him know that you are interested. I think that he will be able to fix at least a couple of people up still.

Mike i guessing Rick hasn’t had a chance to respond to folks messages yet right? I went ahead and pledged for both decks within a few minutes of them going up and wrote a note to him. Never got a reply.

I don’t think any of us have received a written response yet. However, since he has shutdown further SE decks, he has obviously been tracking the SE sales closely. Also, there are always a few that drop off or fail to fund.

Thank you so much for the fantastic response today. Sorry if I haven't been in touch yet, I'm getting through the messages and the count. Have a couple hundred more emails but I'll be through them tonight and should have final numbers tallied. Rest assured I did receive your message, will be in touch shortly. OK, Rick has not responded to these yet, although I suspect that he has already started at this point.

The initial tally shows 75+74 sold, not certain which one was left unsold, but as noted people tend to discard a pledge or two during the last few days of the project campaign on KS. Typically the ultra limited edition decks are not dropped much, though.

I know that we have at least one request on the reserve list, but if you missed out you might want to let Rick know by sending a message on KS. No promises unfortunately, but you should still have a chance.

Would have been cool if that edition was offered to UC members FIRST before all other KS backers but alas. While a signed deck is a nice gesture it's white noise as far as I'm concerned in regards to UC member perks. Guess I'm beating a dead horse here as the days of good UC member perks have seem to gone the way of the buffalo.

Since it is being funded through Kickstarter, I think that would be unfair to the other Kickstarter backers. I think the annual campaign is another way we can reach out to the larger cardistry and card collecting community.

And buffalos are not extinct. I can send you a package of buffalo burgers as proof...maybe not a good symbol of their existence. [MURRAY]

Guys, I have buffalo up the street from my home in coastal South Carolina, so they are far from extinct! Anyway, totally beside the point that you are trying to make, but - people should not be ungrateful when Rick actually paid attention and did something, unlike the previous two years.

As I have stated before, I can't require the perk, but I can ask. If I get nada, I'm afraid that's about it: the co-branding of the annual deck for an artist is a perk for both sides, and I have to assume that overall the membership has benefited greatly not only from the decks that have been produced, but from the exposure we get all around the 'net when we have them on Kickstarter.

I have to agree that this would not be a good thing - the idea of offering them to UC members first, simply because of the exclusivity already associated with the ultra limited edition add-ons that we have done every year - and I truly think that these are both a value leader and a new height as far as the specialty of the laser cut acrylic card being added to every pack. It's something that - as far as I know - has not been done before, although I wouldn't be surprised if someone can show a previous example. Point being: we get a really nice bump on the 'net as far as exposure, and we also get some truly unusual collectables to boot.

Rick signing decks is not a trivial thing, since they normally would never even see New Zealand. I managed to wrangle another first for us/Rick with these being the first Lotrek has produced outside of his own decks - and I am 99.9% certain that it will not be the last!

Just wanted to drop in and let you know I am definitely hoping to provide something special for UC members, you have given me a lot of good feedback and I really appreciate it. As Mike mentioned, signing decks would cost a small fortune with the distance, but I think I have something I can do for the team. I'll be in touch at end of campaign to sort you out Many thanks as always, you guys are great.

Still no word on anything "special" for UC members . Although at this rate it would just be nice to receive these decks before 2018 is over...

Maybe it's coming with the decks, whenever that happens. Damn you company for not cutting these cards for Lotrek!

I wouldn't worry too much. I am sure they are on Lotrek's busy "to do" list. It sounds like he has the deck cutting issue sorted out, he just needs some time to get it done. Then packing and fulfillment also takes time. I don't know if he has the limited deck sets in Greece or they have to be shipped to Rick in NZ. Anyway, I am sure they will be posted shortly. If not, I can consider them for the 2019 awards.

Per latest KS update:

Well another update with production progress. Not yet shipping - BUT I do have a little good news..

Lotrek and I have both found the delay tough and want this project to be worth your wait. In discussing this, Lotrek felt he could improve the decks and asked to upgrade both De Novo packs at his own cost. The result = more metallic inks on Aurum - and the addition of metallic golds to Viridi. This will be the first full colour deck with the inclusion of metallics I've worked on.

This does mean an extra 1-2 weeks in production, but I felt at this point giving you more for your pledge is the best we can do. It's been a difficult time for Lotrek so I appreciate his very generous gesture. We've upgraded the art and the cards are already running through the press.

I also want to do what I can to thank you for your pledge, and your patience, so will be adding a little perk to each pack

I also usually don't mind when unforseen upgrades are made. But while the tuck may look nicer it's still supposed to be a deck commemorating the year 2018. But it will now be delivered in 2019 and who even knows how deep in. It's a tad embarrassing IMO.

Blame the cutting company who was going to do it but then said no. Yes it's embarrassing but if things went right with Lotrek, not blaming him at all, I'm sure we'd have them by now.

Maybe perk is an uncut sheet that wasn't cut?

Rick / Mike / Lotrek, is there any updates to this?? Last update on Dec 29th stated:

"The first batch of decks have been cut and are heading to the assemblers. They are currently closed due to the holidays but this will begin on the 2nd of Jan. Final cutting and assembling will take place over the following few days.

It's now a month later and still in the dark as to where these stand. I mean, Lorenzo got bad news about his Ravn III project, what's going to be the news for these?

Any feedback would be greatly helpful..

I had 2 more problems with these decks that costed many days of delay. One was the initial cutter's fault and one entirely mine (I managed to make a dent in my cutting die and it went for resharpening). I got it back and I only need 2 days cutting work to completely finish the decks. Next week is the final shipping date!

Jackson actually volunteered for it. Someone should go check with JR to see if he's still up for it after he opened up more short subs slots. I would love to see a Transformation deck from JR, even if it means it'll only come out in 2020!
