From left to right, you have the Golden Rule Patreon Test Print (1/280), Golden Rule Silk Edition (1/280), and the Golden Rule Players edition (1/900)
Not having seen these before, are the Silk Edition meant to be Year 2 rewards or we are still waiting on those?
We are still waiting on Year 2. These are not the droids you're looking for.

The deck is definitely a players deck. It comes with two jokers, two double backers, and a blank card along with a newer variation of Lotrek's standard courts. The tucks are embossed while the vintage tuck is not. I get a classy cigar vibe from the vintage tuck. Below you'll find the card backs as many of you will never open these players decks.

From left to right: Redemption Players Turquoise (1/700), Redemption Players Carmine (1/450), and Redemption Players Vintage (1/190)

I received mine as well. It was just one of each. I guess I forgot to get any extra? I am not too keen on his unfoiled deck, especially if I think they are a bit pricy. Anyway, it is always great to get anything from Lotrek. Thanks for sharing. I have lost track of how many Redemtion decks have been issued. Not complaining at all TBH.

Honestly can't tell the difference much between some metallic inks and standard ones. This looks standard to me, but I do like the slightly yellowed aspect, true to the name.

Enough to put him near the top of histories “most redeemed” list.

Currently his redemption deck count puts him around Samuel Mudd territory.

I wonder what Bicycle standard deck sales can tell us about which color people prefer more. I know I'm biased towards blue.

We regularly have the choice of red or blue and I find that it varies from deck to deck which one I prefer. I am known to like B&W :D and I am starting to think that I am not a fan of green

I think my color taste in playing cards is somewhat more indifferent based on the deck theme. IRL I tend to prefer pastel colors pink and blue with a general color preference to many shades of blue. That said, I can definitely enjoy playing cards with other colors and even very intense colors as well.

I picked up four sets given the tempting price even though I think I have more than enough versions of this deck already....still a sucker for his even failed foiled decks...sigh.

Agreed, the cards might looked nice, but that black stamp on the box def ruined it. Like WHY NOT have placed on the bottom or something

But oh well, at least this bundle is a chance to see a Patreon exclusive deck

Ever wanted to play with a shiny gold and silver foil deck but you were too scared by the price? Now you can!

PATRONS "Rejected" playing cards is a print run that didn't qualify as an official edition due to several tiny foil marks that were transferred from the back to the front of the sheets during varnishing.

Instead of scrapping a beautiful deck, we decided to select the best possible cards and make as many -more or less- acceptable decks we could and offer them at a very low price. In every deck, many cards are perfect but most of them have traces of silver foil from the back side, usually tiny dots but also a bit more, like the picture below
unnamed (4).jpg
Fortunately, the backs are not affected and if you're not too picky, the deck is still very beautiful!

The PATRONS "REJECTED" edition will be available to the general public for 12 hours, ending on Tuesday 29 July at 10:00 pm UTC. The decks are sold only in bundles of RED/GOLD and TEAL/SILVER.The price is €50/pair and shipping is included.

Decks will ship on Thursday, along with the MYSTERY III final Test.

Thank you!

I think it's making a point that these are scraps and you can't enjoy/brag/sell it like the real thing.

If only the real thing is accessible like this... sigh...

Edit: Whoah didn't know lotrek offers free shipping. Still waiting for a chance to buy lotrek (foiled) cards the "regular" way. Where is that KS?

I wasn't interested in both of the decks so I didn't know about the vintage deck which I probably would've gotten.

Our first glimpse of what will become Mystery III "Rubáiyát" (images courtesy of a reseller on eBay). Seeing as the tuck is similar to the Golden Rule Test Print, I imagine we'll see a much more intricate and ornate tuck for the final version.

Upon googling Rubáiyát, we find it to reference a long Persian poem in quatrains, with Rubai meaning four and Rubáiyát being a plural form. It can also specifically reference a set of poems by Omar Khayyam.

Lotrek announces "Mystery III." He creates a deck but isn’t fully satisfied with certain elements, particularly the dark court cards and the lack of defined borders. Rather than discard it entirely, he dubs this version the "Mystery III Craft Edition." Some copies are placed in "Redemption VIII" outer tucks for Patrons, while others are offered to the public in standard tucks.

Still refining his vision, Lotrek continues developing the deck and eventually names this new iteration "Qalif." However, he ultimately decides "Qalif" no longer fits the concept of "Mystery III." It becomes its own standalone project, and he returns to designing what he originally envisioned.

During that creative process, he experiments with new court designs and explores four different foiling styles, all within a single deck. During its sale, this is referred to as "Mystery III Test Edition," offered exclusively to Patrons during a 10-day period. Unsold copies are scrapped.

From this experimentation, Lotrek selects his preferred elements to carry forward into the final realization of "Mystery III," which we have now learned is officially titled "Rubáiyát."
