I am keeping it simple this time around and offering a limited n exclusive reward with 2 handmade decks. These will have 2-way designs and will be produced by the same artisans from Sawantwadi using century old techniques of making such handcrafted decks for royalty.

I love gilding and this is the first time I won't be able to offer it which has made me a bit sad but I hope the design will still delight you once it is in your hands.

FYI...1 of the collector's bundle is available that includes a handcrafted deck.

Seems like a backer had pledged without understanding what it was and after questioning him if he knows what it is and need more information, he cancelled the pledge by saying this

"Sorry about that, did not know what handcrafted meant. Just saw it as a limited tier."

Yes, it will be striking for sure....silver foil, embossed design elements on a black tuck....

By the way, only 3 single deck tiers are left....I've made those limited given free shipping makes it a very tight on margins and for some countries in Europe, I've to shell out more. Still, I wanted it to be a fair play for every backer coming from any country whatsoever. Anyone here on UC thinking about getting on-board at the last minute shouldn't wait anymore and hop on to the single deck tier if they want.

Thanks guys for picking those tiers and some more. Given the last failure and the slow funding, I didn't expect it will reach up to this point.

Proofs have been approved and order for 500 decks print run has been placed.
Due to some personal reasons, I may not be active here for next few months but updates on the Kickstarter will continue through Vikas who will be looking into and updating the backers on production updates and fulfillment.

Orders can still be placed on guruplayingcards.com and Amazon and they will continue to function normally as the shipping is taken care by SFC and Amazon (FBA) respectively. These will function normally in spite of my active involvement.

Just posted an update on Kickstarter and thought of updating you guys here as well.

There is an ongoing foil on tuck issue that hasn't been resolved by the printer even after doing 2 reprints of tuckboxes. Now, we are looking to change the approach by getting a new mould (and discarding existing one) as well as using an alternate matte finish rather than using the special coating WJPC has been using.

That said, they have used a special imported finish on this deck which they have only used in very few decks produced specially for magic & cardistry. I was skeptical of their claim earlier but after talking to them today as well as looking at some of the pictures they shared, we may be up for a surprise as far as handling is concerned. Fingers crossed.

A quick update that fulfillment has started with a few decks shipped today and the rest will be taken care tomorrow.

So, keeping handcrafted decks aside, it is a wrap for Bharata Series 2 Kickstarter and I look forward to hearing how you find this deck of playing cards.

I got my notification for shipment as well! I ended up pledging for two decks and the tarot arcana.

As the fulfillment company coulld not figure how many automated emails with tracking number got sent in the first run so they kicked off the process again to resend the emails once again. Now, I can say that each backer has got the tracking number and so it is all good.

I got a PM yesterday on the handling of the deck which the backer (from Singapore) found to be great. Hope you all will comment on Kickstarter or here once you have your rewards in your hands.

Reports have been coming that the backers have started receiving their rewards with Singapore, Australia and France taking the lead.

Jaspas received it as well last week and did an unboxing review on his channel.



His review of Bharata tarot deck had garnered close to 7k views which has been the highest among other videos on his you tube channel. Please give him the same love and support this time as well.

I came across Jaspas' review on youtube and I'm in the middle of watching it now. First off: WOW, SO MUCH BUBBLE WRAP. Once we get past that all I can say is wow! This is definitely one of those decks that I didn't initially appreciate but seeing the finished product has changed my opinion. Absolutely beautiful.

I got my deck yesterday. Handles well and IMO the tuck box and the back design looks better than the original Bharata.

Got my decks this weekend!

The tuck looks amazing, the cards actually feel really nice in my hand. From memory, I think this is the only WJPC deck that I have ever handled and I am quite surprised. I am waiting until I get the tarot arcana to really dig into them, I got a deck + arcana to add to the tarot collection.

Keep the decks coming, Sunish! I have Divine Art, and I really like that deck, too!

P.S. have you thought about relaunching the white gold version of Divine Art?

Yes, I also felt that the deck handles really well unlike the samples I received from WJPC. They did a good job with the special varnish.

No, white gold version of Divine Art will never come. The original edition was GPCC's first deck and I want it to be a rare n collectible item. Now, I think that the move to reprint Divine Art as a white gold foil version was a mistake. There are a number of concepts that are looking out to be made in the form of a poker size playing card deck and now I've my hands full with Kalevala as a focus.

I have been watching the Kalevala thread, I will be on board for that one when you launch, as well.

I think going to a black tuck was a really good choice for the Bharata V2, looks really good with the silver foil. It's distinct from the arcana and red decks, and displays well in the tuck next to the other two.

Decks just came in this week. The box was beaten to hell, but the deck were just fine. Happy they were overpacked this time.

They handle very nicely. It's been the only deck I've been playing with since they came in on Monday. Keeping it on my desk at work at the moment along with a generic Aristocrat casino deck.
