How fast does something like this usually sell out? Are we talking seconds, minutes, or hours?

I see your point about the King of Spades. I would be interested to know the story behind that change.

TOO BAD IT'S LAUNCHING WHEN I AM AT WORK AND AoP IS BLOCKED.
Thanks Dan and Dave, can't even hook a local up.
I can try to snag one for you. PM me.

I'm going to make a wild guess that the only way to get the gold version is to get the box

I can probably just make sure I am outside or near a window. As long as I get LTE service I should be fast enough to snag a brick.
This is honestly one of the best releases I have seen from D&D.
I hate complaining about my work, but this is the only gripe, because I do have to deal with secure networks and there's no WiFi service in the building-- they keep promising they're going to allow more carriers to put repeaters in the building, but I'm not holding my breath.

I bought my own repeater for the office, but it wasn’t cheap!

Is it your office?
I do not own/rent/have rights to this building.
I am a cheap@$$, I will probably still have my "office" as my spare bedroom/garage, even when I am a 20 employee business. That way, I still get to expense part of my own mortgage.
Edit: Sailor mouth.

This had BETTER NOT have repeating courts!
I'm intrigued. Very intrigued. But, if it has repeating courts, I'll have to pass.

If the gold tuck does not have a 3rd color (at the least) then I couldn't care less about it.
I like a nice boxed set, too, so if there is one I'll probably get in on it.

Does a brick box count as a box set?

Is it a brick box? It looks nice - either way.
And, yes, some brick boxes are nice. E used to have them. I'm not a fan of the flimsy ones mostly offered on Kickstarter.

I am theorizing it's a brick box, although, it could be a half brick set, too, or a double/triple deck set. Can't really glean the scale from the render.
I plan on getting a brick, if that's a brick box, though. Maybe three, if they don't offer mixed brick options.

Foil (on the cards) or GTFO.

Not at $15 per deck... Not from AoP anyway.

The only cards I know of that were $15/deck that were foiled were the Shin Lim Regalia's, right? Have there been any others?
Metalluxe I think, the USPCC bicycle metalluxe V2s are like $10/deck.
What else? The T11 "titanium" bikes/tallys/bees were metallic inked on the faces, and metalluxe on the backs, though, right? Those were less than $15 originally.
Then again, none of those had a letter-press foiled tuck. The Regalias' tucks were foiled, but I don't remember if they were embossed.

DB Gold Gatorbacks and Split Spades were under 15 when just released with the discount and I believe that the Rarebits were 10.

Gold Rarebits were $10 with metalluxe.
The titanium series did not have metalluxe.
Ellusionist has also released a few, as has david blaine in that range of prices. EPCC has also released some decks with foil backs in the 15-20 range ZEN, and Superior brand. There are more but thats what I got off the top of my head.

This was the 1st one that came to mind.

Either way I would be *shocked* if the Bucks, a.k.a. D$D, released a foiled deck for $15. $15 seems to be their standard price for non-foiled decks while others (E, T11, etc.) are still under $10. It's not like D$D to sell things cheaply, they have always been on the very high end of the spectrum and will always charge a premium.

At least now we know the box is $200 for 3 decks

So recap of the video (thanks TGW!): $15 each for red and black versions, $200 for the box which contains 6 slots but only 3 decks: red, black and gold (only way to get the gold version). No foil (told ya, Tom). 3 more "Standards" to be released at a later date and fill the last 3 slots. If you use promo code TGW5 you can get 5% off which would bring the box down to $190. That's not including shipping BTW which I'm sure will be an arm and a leg.
These are obviously great decks but there seems to be a lot of hype behind these. After looking past the hype and the box (I've said it before and I'll say it again, I collect playing cards, not coins, boxes, etc. no matter how nice they may appear) I see really nice, fully custom decks with blinged-out tuck cases for $15 plus shipping, each. T11 would sell these for under $10 each or maybe even $12. But of course the Bucks sell them for $15. The way I feel about this is I eventually want the black version some day (only version to contain all 3 main colors) but I think I'll wait until Black Friday or something.

You're probably THE best in the biz at deck reviews.
I used to watch a ton of deck reviews before being a contributing poster here. I don't really watch ANY anymore. Though, your reviews are always well done, and I enjoy them.

So, effectively, it will be a $250 box set once you add in the 3 editions yet to be released in order to complete the set. Grosser. I think I'll be happy with the Black Standards and call it a day. They are beautiful decks, for sure!

I would probably pull the trigger on $100 for the box with 3 decks. I spent, $75?, on the 2-deck D&D Makers Box Set.
This box is not worth $150.

I like this set, but I am not sure I $200 like it.
