He is working on it - My checkout was different, as it directed me to paypal and took the payment as normal - the two times I didn’t go through with the paypal did generate those two email confirms though

Not yet - though I did get another Butterfly sales email from Ondrej today.
I did take umbrage with the email, and replied to him - as he uses the tactic of Buy your decks now to win deck zero “They go for 350€ on ebay” - which of course they do not - the do have high asking prices on eBay, and a single set of seasons+zero did sell once for $450, but that is the only sale I see.
I really don’t believe that they will sell for the high asking prices, and certainly think the email implies that the deck does sell for that, realizable value
Whenever I see this (usually on kickstarter) I call them out on it - cant remember who did I it last time, but they promised to never do it again - I am hoping Ondrej also agrees to not take that tact. It’s not a fair way to separate people from their money.
Heard back from Ondrej - he agrees and will no longer use such comparisons.

I must be so jaded with E's marketing tactics, that I didn't even catch that when Ondrej put it in his email. Thanks for calling him out on this. Ondrej and Butterfly brand are strong enough that he really doesn't need to stoop to that direction.

Penguin replied - they said “not sure exactly when/if we'll get those in, but I hope we do! I'll mention to the team that there was some interest in seeing those in stock here.”

I catch myself shrugging off things like these marketing techniques way too often. Like Eric wrote, we see too much of this "Hey, they valuable, rare, special, ..."
Very nice of you to bring that to Ondrej's attention. He sure doesn't need that. The quality and beauty of Stefan's design speak for themselves.

I am quite surprised that the Marked Seasons are still standing till now.
I guess now I am convinced that print run plays a factor in playing cards sales. The lesser it is, people are more encourage to get it ASAP - the more of it, people can chill and don't get the impulse in buying right away

I can say that hsbc is stepping into the role quite respectability - as for myself, I’m still in the fetching coffee and emptying wastebaskets role to help take some small burden off, but I’ll do my best to figure out what it is exactly I should be doing sooner than later

TBH, I get the marked Seasons for the reason to get Butterfly Zero. Sadly, luck is not on my side, AGAIN....

These are really super, but if the faro was less of a fight they would be superior
Haven’t had much time with them, and it does seem like a bit of work will allow them to behave, but I hope that the next version of them can address the issue and bring them up to snuff.
A change in technique did get them going, and a bit of polish seemed to provide improvement - going to whip out my full bag of tricks on them when I get a chance and see if I can get them to perform to my standards - will let you know what comes of it all.
They are so nice in every other respect, I really do hope I can manage it…

Got them in shape - found myself with a bit of time to work them over using the low tech “jeans” method - about 15 minutes work in total and they are in auto faro condition, from either direction
For those not in the know, just throw on a pair of jeans and rub the decks edges (and corners - don’t miss any spots) on your thigh to gently polish the cards edges smooth - shuffle every now and then to help make sure they all get hit well - stop and test the faro every now and then - won’t take too long to do, and its much safer than other methods (such as the polishing sticks / nail files that you might have seen recommended)
