Yep, noted for any and all future posts about t11 decks. We get it, no reason to post about it anymore dude!
it is really easy to block someone's posts if you do not wish to read them. i will keep posting what and when i like especially that i will not support t11. have a great day!
Oooh, good to know. Thank you. I'm on it.

What a disappointment though
It’s beautiful work but basically repeating courts are sad lol

The flowers and art around the buffalo are different in every card. Not really repeating. Similar for sure

Yes, basically anyways it just wasn’t my expectation
However, it is imo far better than the style they’ve been going with recently

That is a shame! I should get mine today but that makes me sad a bit. I do see some design differences surrounding the courts, but surely there are 12 different extinct animals that could have been featured.

It gets a bit worse. As far as I can tell, the animals in the deck are fictional. There's something of a backstory of them being based on some drawings that were "discovered". The animals are reminiscent of animals that COULD be lost to time, but I can't find any examples of them being real in any way.

sorry for all of you that bought one of these but lmao. what a joke of a deck. fake extinct animals that they could only make 3 of. at double the normal t11 price to boot! $2 more than what has unfortunately become the norm at $18.

in the past i have felt like it is kind of ''spoilery'' to see all of the courts of a deck in something like a campaign but i have learned over the years to be wary of buying a deck when all of the courts are not shown for reasons like this. when no courts are shown assume they are standard. when just a few courts are shown assume they are repeating, close to repeating or just plain shit. technically, these are not repeating but also technically, DS courts that he spent years on microscopically smoothing lines on standard courts aren't standard.

i don't know that I would go so far as to call the deck a "joke." But certainly some missed opportunities. The artwork on them is still quite skillfully done. Just a thematic miss.

Yup - if you don’t see em they bite you more often than not.

Of course some will like these and some won’t, should anyone feel they were hornswaggled and are unhappy with the courts:

What is theory11's return policy?

Physically shipped items in unopened condition can be returned in the original packaging within 15-days of order delivery. Open items that are defective or damaged in transit may be eligible for return; please contact our customer service team here to initiate a return.

LMAO... The first time I've read this:
see_squared wrote: Fri Mar 03, 2023 11:28 pm This deck is great, unique and vibrant. Looking forward to MORE t11 releases.
I swear to the gods that there was a voice in my head telling me to write: "There is nothing unique in repeating courts" as a witty response. Seems like I sensed it, haha. Then I went back to check all the IG posts of that and the ad photos but couldn't find proof of (almost) repeating courts so I did refrain. Bwoi should I've listen to my subconciousness. Seems like TXI did copy another trick out of the sleeves of the Buck Twins, lol.

P.S.: After revisiting Chris' quote I can't help it but reading it in a South Park voice; like this deck is stunning and beautiful and brave.

I'm looking forward to more TXI releases, too. They always remind me to not waste money on them.

Something in me was hesitant so I didn't buy the deck but now I'm disappointed because it had so much potential. T11 did what they do best. Amazing tuck that lures me in only to disappoint with what's inside.

This isn't to say the artwork isn't phenomenal. Just that it could have been so much better with unique animals across the 12 courts.

I don't know about phenomenal. I've seen art like this in kid's books, sixties advertising decks, National Geographic magazines from the 80s and so on and so forth. Does it look good? Of course. But I expect something different from 2023. Especially with a price tag of $20. Definitely not the quarter of artwork compared to other decks.

You humble me with your response. I appreciate the reality check and my choice of wording may have been a bit extreme but I definitely got caught up in the tuck itself and what the deck could have been.

Guess we’re not the only ones still waiting on a sub-$20 animal themed deck with cold foil and non-repeating courts huh.

I left a lukewarm review of the deck on T11's website. Curious if it gets "approved". Looking at the reviews this seems to be the best deck ever produced. I wonder if they are fake reviews.

There were reviews of the deck already right when it launched. I imagine some people were sent the deck early and wrote biased reviews.

this right here is one of the reasons i will not support t11. the process of screening and approving comments and reviews. are they obligated to post less than positive comments and reviews? no, but to me it shows that they are not honest and above board as a company.

It is what it is. Always take online reviews - everywhere - with a grain of salt. Even if there's no shenanigans...people tend to only leave VERY positive or VERY negative reviews. So you don't get a lot of nuance feedback.

i agree here but it is shady to remove the ones you don't like.

Nearest I can tell what they do is count all the star ratings, but only publish a few desirable reviews as customer endorsements - it does not seem to be a “see all reviews” type of thing

This was used more often in the early days, and is still used plenty - all above board in my opinion as long as it doesn’t come across as “these are all our reviews” - they show 62 next to the stars, which is less than 5 stars, then they display 20 5 star reviews. Should be clear enough to anyone looking at it thats its good reviews only, and that the stars tell the story (which in this case is still quite good)

Which way would I prefer them to operate? Don’t care - ain’t falling for their reviews ;)

This is the way. There're two kinda folks that I'm suspicious of: A - fellows that write reviews on websites and B - fellows that give a damn about those reviews.

Moooi-Extinct-Animals-Ornaments-2022.jpg
A quick Google browse reveals that Extinct Animals "actually" have many fictional prehistoric animals in the collection, but T11 shamefully just use three for the courts and have them repeated with different ornaments. Oh, such missed opportunities.... Think this is what T11 is good at: create a perfect first impression on the outside, but failed on the inside.

Note...two more of the animals also appear as the jokers, so it's 6 total animals through the deck. And the artwork is pulled from a wallpaper design that Moooi did that incorporates the animals.

That said...genuine question. On a deck like this, what portion of the design process was done by T11 vs Moooi? Did T11 adapt all the artwork with their in-house team? Just produce a deck fully designed at Moooi? Assuming it was a mixture of the two, but curious what the working relationship was like there.

TXI looked at the mooi wallpaper: "Can I has that?"
- "Put our name on it an' gimme two bucks per decks sold"
Then following some circlejerking, so that they could pat their backs to have created something... what was the words? Great, unique, vibrant, ... 🤦🏿‍♀️

lol at it being shady to not allow negative reviews to be posted on one's own site. If a company allows it bravo, but reallity is a BUSINESS is in BUSINESS to make money, and doing anything that minimises those opportunities is foolishness at best.

It's liek saying an author or publisher should put quotes on their book cover "This novel is the height of mediocrity, I read it in my dentist's waiting room and couldn't wait to get into the chair."

not quite like that at all. an author of a book doesn't post a website that anyone can go to to write a quote to be published on the cover. however, when a company opens an avenue for comments whether it be a review on a product page or even a post on social media, imo, it is shady to censor those. i understand what you are saying about it being business and eliminating negative remarks/reviews in order to possibly sell more. i suppose it is more the principal for me. they have lost quite a few sales from me in the last year, in part, due to this censoring policy.

They open their(!) website and it is their(!) social media account where they use the functions the provider of said social media gives them and encourages them to use. Nothing shady going on there. House rules still apply in digital spaces. Their social media and especially their website is in fact their book cover.
Everyone has the right to speak their mind, nobody is entitled to said opinion being heard, listened to, encouraged or published though.
