Is it just me or does it seem odd to have just the one Bicycle branded deck mixed in with the other 5 unbranded decks?
I think I would have just preferred all being unbranded.

These do look good but I'm trying to limit myself to KS projects right now. These will be available later.

That was my initial thought as well. But the more I think about it the more I like the hodgepodge. It adds to the old, rustic feel I think they're going for. And I usually always prefer Bicycle-branded decks over unbranded decks. But it's alcohol! It's supposed to be messy!

I agree, I personally collect unbranded. That being said it is a minor frustration for me, and perhaps there is a reason for it?

It might just be possible that USPCC only allowed the one deck with the bicycle logo. They are kind of picky about what decks they allow to use the branding. It could also have been a conflict with the artwork so that the logo wouldn't fit properly.
Here's an unlikely theory but could they have used six different printers for the 6 different decks. That would definitely peak my interest a bit.
If it were six different printers, who could they all be?

What I was guessing is that, the whiskey (that's the one w the bike right ?) was done first with the bike branding, they liked it so much that they went on to do the other 5 decks, but didn't want to be restricted by the bike logo

VolantAngel has it exactly right. I designed 52 Proof as a standalone deck that we would release in Jan or Feb. Then at our yearly team meetup I brought up the idea of a Prohibition box set all with the same style. 52 Proof was Bicycle branded from the start, it looked great, so we left it.

I still love it! Like I said in an earlier thread, it adds to the disarrayed feel of this set. So often, playing cards are just color changed and called a set. This is actually a bunch of totally different cards, head-to-toe with only a common theme unifying them. And the sweet wooden box

@Mike24 - Well I guess that settles that. The "Whisky" deck is the most valuable with the Bicycle logo at what almost a $1 a deck now. I really do like your "Absinthe" deck; I'm always a sucker for green/black It's your hook, but Don is right you can't use this deck for poker if the court cards bleed out to the cut border. So, I take it these cards are already printed. Oh, well... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Absinthe

This is some seriously cool caca. just guessin' but I'd say that box is gonna run it up well over a hunnit dollas. Considering what some of those boxes go on KS that's a cheap date.

Yeah, it might go as high as $150, and that wouldn't be surprising if you take a look at those offered by Theory11 (I know the Prohibition set is by Ellusionist but I'm guessing they'll consider the prices that other companies are charging for decks + wooden box):
However, the Artisan Luxury Set (with 2 white and 2 black) was $49.95 + Shipping.

That T11 Artisan Luxury set might be one of the best values in custom playing cards out there. Four decks plus a gorgeous wooden box, that's hard to beat. I guess we'll find out soon which direction E goes with the pricing of this set.

To them this is probably not a comeback, more a change of direction and catering for a different crowd (collectors only?). I would be willing to bet that the average customer that picks up a Madison deck may not be who they are aiming these decks at (some may still buy them of course). I would imagine that as they are aimed at collectors and not their main audience these will pretty limited. But I could be wrong about everything!

Well I hope they sell the decks individually if it's going to be too expensive for the set itself, though it does look cool.

Ok seriously, I have yet to see any pictures that aren't completely awesomesauce. As long as they come with a decent price tag, E should be making a killing with these.

@TueRens - Nice back. Usually its a Single or Duel element back. 3 elements in a back is hard to make it work right...
Your AoS is fine, but who is making the cards? "Made in the U.S.A" is good?

I saw it. All I'm saying is make the AoS yours. You deserve it. You made the deck. YOur tuck box should have that information. So a person shouldn't have to open the deck. And not have to look at the AoS.

Hell yeah, credit where credit's due. They've taken a beating, much of it deserved, but this is pure excellence from what's been shown so far.
