Hey I'm not mad either. I also know a few people on FB that had been waiting all day and nothing. I just think his customer service overall sucks since they never respond to emails and that he could have taken a minute to post an update on Twitter and to apologize instead of just ignoring everyone. He blew it with this sale pretty good.

I watched all day at work yesterday. Just checked and still nothing. Now I am heading back to work. I hope I don't miss these.

Nah at this rate you won't miss anything, lol. I think Blaine pulled a fast one on everybody, lol. It's not even April 1st yet!

The amazing disappearing Gatorback promo trick, it's part of his new act! His whole site and support are shambolic, especially the lack of customer service (not responding to emails at all). Clearly it doesn't matter as enough of his fanboys are more than willing to buy whatever he puts up on his site.

So are we going to make bets on if there will be a sale when it comes back or just go back to regular pricing?

Just checked and it is still down. Can't buy anything. Maybe he forgot to pay his hosting bill.
Has there been any announcements via FB or anywhere else?

At least he was able to tweet his latest article in the Economist:
http://www.economist.com/news/21631803- ... 1e574f5cc1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(Reading it now in hope that there's some mention of the Red Gatorbacks....)

What is his website to order decks? Couldn't find it quick. This thread has become interesting. Does he have enemies? Maybe someone is doing a Denial of Service.

I was thinking the same but the site is not down there are just no products listed. Each page loads but gives a "No products found" or similar message. I would send an e-mail but since others that I trust have said they don't bother answering them I think I will avoid the frustration and just wait.

If it was a Denial Of Service, you wouldn't be able to access the site (or it may be that you would see something entirely different).

Sounds like this guy David Blaine is to big for his britches. To bad he doesn't have friends to contact him to tell him of a problem. This is costing him money. It seems he is hard to get a hold of...

Checks the website today, DK how long it's been like this but the front page has changed at least. Shows a pic of the Red Gators with Coming Soon. So we're back to the how soon is soon conundrum. I'll give it the infamous "two weeks".
I must say I like the silver foil with red gator. Looks nice.

Looking forward to this release...it's still black foil on the tuck with the red foil gator...not silver foil. In this photo it's just the way the black foil captured the light.
I like his new website.

I searched for "gatorbacks" in the search box and found this:
"Following the release of the Green Metallic and Black Gatorbacks series, there have been rumors about a potential 3rd installment in the collection.
The Metallic Red Gatorbacks are the newest and most visually striking deck, unprecedented in style and quality. Extremely rare and limited in quantity, only 1000 of these decks will be sold exclusively on David Blaine’s store.
Sparing no expense, the cards themselves are printed on the highest quality casino stock that USPC has to offer. Undergoing multiple trials in order to achieve the highest quality and durability in the Gatorbacks series, the reds feel better than any metallics we have ever printed before.
The foil stamped tuck case is embossed and finely detailed, on both the inside and the outside. The seal ensures that the cards have not been opened or tampered with and serve to retain the deck's value for collectors.
The Metallic Red Gatorbacks are the finest playing cards created by David Blaine to date.
Designed by David Blaine and Mark Stutzman for performance and style, they are a true collector’s item and are destined to be sought after for years to come."

So they're claiming they gave the reds special treatment compared to the others?
Bullsh*t

Besides the tuck, how will these be different? The green backs has metallic inks and I was told the black backs don't so with this one, it has to be something different (probably won't).

If you look cloesly at the tuck in the picture above it says "Black Lions Silver Edition."
My guess is the design will be silver and will be inverted from the original design.

Yeah, I have an idea- the cards will go on sale when they appear in his store and nothing anyone says, including and ESPECIALLY David Blaine himself, means anything.
