because Jackson has proven himself time and time again... wrong person to worry about.

Not worried about anything, I just think it would be nice is all, and it is certainly not much to ask.

Not to nitpick because Jackson does a great job designing decks AND managing KS campaigns but why does he still do KS campaigns? I assume he has enough of a following but maybe he likes that KS reaches a broader audience? All I'm saying is that if he created a deck and sold it on the KW website without crowdfunding it, I'm sure he'd have no problem moving stock.
Anyway, just a thought. I'll still pledge

what I can see KS is more like Steam early access
Steam early access is customer pay and test, while funding the creator (to some extend)
KS case, customer pay a preorder fee and wait for product to arrive, creator get X amount once funded without much risk of cards not sell, etc.

That sums it up very well. With that said, as Jackson mentioned in a campaign update recently, there will be a deck released directly through Kings Wild later this year. A lot of thought and planning go into these things, so it all comes down to what kind of project it is and how it'll work the best.
So, who's ready for the Crazy 8's?

Kickstarter really is a great system for independent creators; it removes all of the uncertainty of releasing a new project, because if it doesn't get market buy-in you aren't out any money.
I'm sure Jackson has plenty of money on hand to make a deck without crowd funding, but it would be a gamble that assumes people would buy it and recoup his costs (I mean, I doubt Kings Wild would ever have a problem in that department, but when it's personal money it's a bigger gamble for the creator) where Kickstarter takes that gamble out of the equation. I think everyone in the community and the community as a whole, really benifits. It's the best time to be into cards

OK, so how many versions have we seen now? Three? One Bicycle branded and two versions of unbranded? I might have to pick just 1 unless the cards drastically different. Hmmmmmm.

I will always take an unbranded where they are available

As the artwork has gone through several revisions over the last year some of the earlier pictures will now be outdated.

I don't think i'm the only one who would like some info before it launches, so we know what we want to jump on right away, especially as fast as his decks go.

I got in at a pledge level that I'm happy with. I'm surprised I actually had enough time to read the pledge tiers before they were gone.

I"m sad that he moved away from USPC, and removed the Bicycle logo from the tuck.
It makes it an easy pass for me.

Huh, interesting. Whereas, I am glad that he is mixing it up; I enjoy the EPCC cards equally (perhaps a little more so), and find that having the different printers lends that much more of a distinct identity to the various projects. One case in point would be the Edgy Bros' Dia De Los Muertos decks versus
Fuego! They have different art, but the fact that they have different printers enhances the character of each. I love both projects.
(Steve Minty's Muertos decks, sticking with the theme, features two styles printed by USPCC and three by EPCC, and there, too, the mix makes the entire project that much more interesting. It's just fun to compare and contrast the different colors, the different feel, and the different
shine of the daylight/midnight decks versus the color decks, even though the designs are basically identical. I enjoy these nuances immensely.)
I realize that we all do different things with the cards, and appreciate them for different reasons. One of the things I like to do with the cards is play with them, and each night as part of our bedtime routine, my kids and I play various card games (including Crazy 8's). I find that the EPCC decks, and even the Shanghai decks (Nautical, in this case, but I know the Global Titans were also printed there) take more of a beating over time than do the USPCC cards. Of course, they are also more difficult for smaller hands to shuffle, what with them being more stiff, but that, again, just adds to the interesting compare / contrast.
So, yeah. I was happy to see that these will be EPCC. But, then again, I'll be happy when the next project is USPCC. Or EPCC.

I'm with Jay- I love Bicycle branding but I didn't pass this up. Hopefully he goes back to USPCC soon.

In a year's time last year with over 20 campaigns, 5 of them included Bicycle. I do think now decks look better without that logo and more KS creators want have their own thing.
