Yes those are real cards in the Frame. i bought this on e-bay for 99p with £17.99p+p (it is very heavy and fragile) so am very please i got this for less than £20 overall

A few modern decks to start off today. And a few more winning moves decks, i`ve decided not to get any of the football related decks as i`m not really that much into football and the decks are all English teams anyway. A Spanish deck from 1979 produced by Industrias Graficas Castuera. "vizcaino" was designed by Javier Urkiri, it has 40 cards in the deck and the borders are unbroken. And last today a double deck by Waddingtons. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

That "vizcaino" is intriguing Jase. The top info card in your picture is written in Basque, a very unique language. I heard it spoken in a movie once and it sounds very peculiar.

Even though the language looked odd I started by trying to translate the info card in Spanish, but the online translator suggested Basque and Basque worked.

This:

Not great translation, but I find it amazing the Google translator can handle Basque at all.
Perhaps in Basque regions it's usual for the lines around Spanish decks to be unbroken?

@ nECr0MaNCeD - Thanks for the comment, it`s always cool hearing from members who enjoy looking at my collection. I`m always up for a trade, so if you want me to look out for cards you`ve seen in my thread or you fancy some old english decks ,just give me a shout.

@ Dazzelsguts - As always some great information which is greatly appreciated Will be posting the deck in worldwide during the week along with a few others.

For the members who are unfamiliar with Spanish decks and are wondering why i mentioned the borders on the "Naipes Vizcaino" deck, i`ve decided to show a Spanish deck by makers Naipes Comas which shows the breaks in the borders which is more commonly seen in Spanish decks. The practice of placing breaks in the borders was introduced in the late 18th century ,and the number of breaks is determined according to the suit of the card, coins have no breaks, Cups have one, Swords have two and Clubs have three.
A few modern decks Here`s a Piatnik Patience size double deck ,with a standard bike for size comparison. And last a few Waddingtons decks. the "Nessie" deck in the back is a Made in China deck i got in a joblot. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

A Worshipful Company Double deck from 2006 titled the Time and Space Project. The faces are a reproduction of Hodges Astronomical pack produced by Sopforth & Sons in 1828. Scans of these cards can be seen in the English Section of the Worldwide thread. A pack from french makers Dusserre made in 1987 titled Les Grands Rois de France, Again scans of these cards can be seen in the French section of the Worldwide thread. A pretty cool Waddingtons Poker set from 2003-04 which was produced by Hasbro. And the inside of the set. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

Got a parcel in today A result of a trade with Volantangel..Thanks Kai A double Worshipful deck from 1981,produced by Waddingtons. The 25th Anniversary set from British makers Paul Lamond Games. Very nice decks indeed. I've been trying to resist starting to add Waddington's to my collection but you make it hard. Most of the really nice decks I have found are from the UK and the shipping takes it out of my budget range.

A 1972 facsimile deck produced by Harry Margary titled "South Sea Bubble" originally produced in 1720. A Piatnik deck specially produced for the Queens Silver jubilee.The backs are used in the "Crown & Sceptre" decks and the courts are used in many other various Piatnik decks. A Grimauld printed deck titled Hector de trois, which was repackaged by Waddingtons for the british market. And to finish a couple of Waddington decks Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

I got the Arcanum kickstarter from Gamblers Warehouse in on Wednesday. I was looking forward to getting the Ultimate universe decks in as well, but it seems after a few messages being sent to gamblers and having only one message back, that i won`t be getting the cards that i payed good money for .This has really disappointed me to say the least and i wont be backing anymore kickstarters from Gamblers in the future(fingers crossed i`ll be getting my "Spirit" decks when they get sent out, but who knows )
Anyway enough ranting ,here`s a selection of Casino decks that have accumilated over a length of time. The new Anne Stokes steampunk deck and Gor-guss by Santoro (what can i say they are just too cute ) And to finish a Waddingtons advertising deck. when i first seen this deck it brought back good memories of my childhood visits to my grandmothers house. funny how such a small thing can bring back memories long forgotten Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

Was it the matches or the cards in the memory?

I get that memories thing more with scent. If they came out with a deck that smelled like crabapple jelly it would probably give me a Grandma flashback, not to mention make me .

Those matches do resonate ....

Hey Dazzelguts It was the brand of matches, my gran always had a pack on the mantle ready to light the fire, she was also a smoker and a box of matches only cost around 2 or 3 pence in them days, the matches themselves had blue ends which was different to the Red ones of the more famous brands .

I got the "Fishing for compliments" kickstarter by Pixel Initiative in today.A cool pack of cards from Stacey Jay Kelly Next up an Alf Cooke deck A Worshipful company deck from 1995. This is the last worshipful deck Produced by waddingtons, from 1996 Special design products took over the printing of the annual installation decks. And to finish a waddingtons deck from 1975. Designed by Michael English and titled "Pack" Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

My Seasons kickstarter came in during the week. A double pack produced by Carta mundi from Belgium. A new book which catalogues the 500 non-waddington packs from their collection which was at the Guilhall library in 1996. And last a double pack by Waddingtons. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

I got the Ultimate universe kickstarter in After giving up hope of getting these EDDIE contacted me and sorted everything out, much appreciated A A-Cee branded deck from Alf cooke which uses one of their anonymous Aces. The Cartoonist pack made by Carta mundi in 1980. Four famous british cartoonists of the 80`s ,Cookson, Mac, Michael Heath & Keith waite each illustrated a suit and a joker to make up this pack which has some elements of a semi-transformation pack. And a waddingtons double pack made for English Heritage, which features 2 portraits from the collection at Kenwood house ,Hampstead, London. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

I know you previously said it would be near impossible for you to get your whole collection into PCDB, but I hope someday soon you reconsider and at least try. I would love to browse your collection there and click endlessly on 'add to wishlist'.

Seriously, you could start slow and just add decks as you add to here. You don't even have to add scans, just add the photos you list here and the deck name with date if you know it. Details like description and scans can be added by others later or never. All modern decks are already there, so adding those would be a breeze for you. You may never get them all in, but after you add the moderns and after a while of adding your favorites and those through here it won't seem like such a big effort.

Not Impossible, just difficult to name and date packs, i think i`ll just keep plodding along with this thread.

Got the UUSI Classic kickstarter in today. A couple of waddington advertising decks and a silvery blue backed deck from various dates. A deck from ASS of Germany featuring the Salzberg Pattern.Scans of this deck can be seen in the worldwide thread. A double advertising deck from waddingtons to finish , this variation of the tax wrapper dates the pack to 1952-1955. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

Heres a few decks while i wait for a couple of kickstarters to reach me.
First up a facsimile of a 1783 deck by cardmaker Christopher Ernst Susz, this was reprinted by the Danish National Museum in 1976 from a deck in their collection. scans of the cards can be seen in the Europe thread of "Worldwide" A couple of modern bicycle decks next up is a Candy skull "shaped" deck. i ordered a pack of these for a friend and decided to get a pack for myself while i was at it. And a advertising deck by Waddingtons to finish off with. Thanks for looking at my cards -jase-

Got my Delirium kickstarter in today Here`s a patience sized advertising deck from the Amalgamated Playing Card Co, with a special Ace. The next two decks i got as a trade with Dazzelguts, with another 2 decks to be shown next post.
The first one an Arrco deck. And of course a Waddingtons to finish (don`t know why Dazzelguts wanted to get rid of any Waddingtons , but she sent me two packs ) Thanks for the Trade will show the other 2 packs during next week.

An Advertising Tray from Waddingtons, once again i was the only bidder on this lot A couple of Carlsburg Advertising decks made in W.Germany. The next two pictures are from the trade i did with Dazzelguts.
First up the 3rd edition of 52 views of Ireland printed by Ormond Printing Co, Dublin in 1965.
Although the views on the cards are similar in each edition there are some major changes, a Quick guide to the editions can be shown with the 9 of Diamonds.
1st Edition ,1939, 9oD - Carna Connemara. 2nd Edition, 1945, 9oD - Rossaveal County Galway.
3rd Edition, 1965, 9oD - Bunratty Castle County Clare. And last a Double Waddingtons box-set, the backs featuring details of a couple of constable paintings. Once again thanks Dazzelguts for the trade and i look forward to our next exchange

The Waddington catalogues decribe these boxes as "Flip top upright box, covered in suede flock with gold piping-available in Black, Red or Brown". These boxes were at the highest end of the waddingtons Range of boxes.
