I think I have seen something similar on Will Roya’s website - https://playingcarddecks.com/products/g ... ards-uspcc" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; but there the 1k price tag comes with the warning not to buy it separately as it is only available through special promotion codes and will not be shipped.

That said, I am not sure we are talking about the same thing here.

In this case, the cards were in fact produced and delivered but it was stated in the KS campaign that one of the two editions of the deck would remain exclusive to backers and not sold in retail; however, no one was to know which of the editions would be "the KS exclusive one" until after the campaign ended and decks had already been shipped (reasoning, as stated on the KS page, being "to prevent hoarding") - that deck turned out to be the Oak Edition that you see listed in the link above.

In which case, Will is keeping to his word by not technically offering it for sale directly through retail and
yet, while there still are decks available in limited quantities, they are only reserved for super exclusive/special promotions as stated in the product listing.

I was looking at the sold page of ebay and I came across this auction:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Eleven-Mad ... 663.l10137" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

This decks was sold for 295,- :shock:

Is this the Silver Edition or a special edition of the Silver deck?

From Lyle on t11: "Eleven Madison Park Monarchs (same colors as White Monarchs, modified tuck front, special card faces for use in a magic trick done during dinner service at EMP)"

https://www.theory11.com/forums/threads ... 704/page-2" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

So if Daniel Humm's cuisine doesn't quite do it for you without a card trick - that's the place to go!

The crack is strong with this one:

$4000 for old Steamboats:

I am going to make an offer for $0.99. At least shipping is included.

He rejected my offer. So sad. What are my 99 pennies to do. Maybe a McDonald's cheeseburger. :drool:

Also, the deck is missing nine of the cards: 4 of Hearts, all of the 3's and all of the 2's. Yeah, great deal.

He definitely isn't playing with a full deck.

Interesting, when Ebay also shows the same set right below the listing but going for 5k less :
US $1,099.99 ,$53 for 24 months for only 4.99 shipping.

It raises the question, do these guys do their research first before listing? Or are they like AceBear and only go by Hochmans, screw what the other "experts" think?

I just assume that they're really not that interested in selling unless they can get someone to agree to whatever outrageous price they've arbitrarily deemed their deck(s) to be worth for them to part with 'em.

This is the most recent crack listing that keeps poppin' up in my email: https://www.ebay.com/itm/1967-Artist-DA ... :rk:5:pf:0

Just FYI - this set IS NOT a 1967 first edition as claimed in the description of the listing; it's a 1969 second edition and the seller no doubtedly knows that because not only are there 2 others of the exact same set currently listed on ebay (the better of the two listings being here for $475 + $25 for Shipping with both decks even still sealed), but also because I messaged him directly informing him that his listing is wrong - he obviously chose to ignore it :roll: So, at this point, I've just written that particular seller off as a con artist preying on less educated buyers... total PoS :roll:

Also, for those interested, I've seen this set go for far less - I'd say a "good deal" would be around $200ish so even though there are other listing over half of the one posted by the guy on crack, both of them are still pretty pricey IMHO and IIRC have been relisted already a few times each because of the high price point the sellers have started bidding at - but don't let that stop you from considering to make a serious and fair offer if you're honestly interested; who knows, you might be willing to work out a deal since their listings haven't been budging at the starting bid they currently have them listed at.

Well, they are selling 19 separate decks, which works out to around USD21-22 per deck. So he's not THAT high yet....

And the $1+$300 shipping was taken down due to : "This listing was ended by the seller because there was an error in the listing. "

Error! No kidding!

Yes, that person is unique. I guess he figures it takes just one. Then again, he isn't playing with a full deck and has lost his marbles.

Here's one...

I think it's also from one of our members here. Seems a bit high since most are going for about $200 less then his asking price...
