I've encountered this. I won't pay $$ (I'm talking 30% above market) for someone else's hesitation, their feelings aren't part of the product, and imo if they're still so attached they shouldn't be selling.

They're both 9.9s, Brad. Same condition.
I just don't understand... Why bother listing something you don't wanna sell?

Who knows - perhaps spousal pressure? “Why don’t you grow up and sell your collection so that we can spend the money on better things?” - “but honey, you see, I have listed the comic on eBay for big bucks but no one seems to be interested”. [emoji12]

Some more Lotrek crack. The complete Liturgy set for 800USD, I personally wouldn't consider paying roughly twice what the decks go for individually worth it, merely for the convenience of them being together...

The main Liturgy Deck is one of my favorite Lotrek decks. It is very nicely crafted in two foils and one of his most limited foil deck editions with only 130 made. The Black Bronze Deck is also rare as it was limited to one per backer I think. I am missing that one, but not interested in it for what I have seen them go far. Still, I agree $799 is a bit too rich for me. Still, someone else might want to go for it. On the other hand they could have bought 12 Fable Craft decks and had some change left over and had 12 decks with 3 foils, instead of just one.

If anyone seriously wants to pay that much for the Sherlock Homes complete set, please PM me. I'll be happy to set you up and throw in a few other nice trinkets as well.

Not a crack post, but kinda concerning. Despite the flawless reputation of this seller I would argue that his titles are kind of on the verge to tried scams.
First listing is a craft deck and a test version of Lotrek's Fable titled as
Fable Test Bundle By Lotrek, House Of Oath Only 111 Decks! New!
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fable-Test-Bun ... SwejNddWFy
Which is kind of the typical eBay, lets call it
inaccuracy, but still not suitable for a legitimate seller, imo.
Far more concerning though, is the title of the following listing:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/4-Decks-of-Jer ... 2773161882
Title reads
4 Decks of Jerry's Nugget Playing Cards 2 Sealed, 2 Open Guaranteed Legit Mint!
Two of them have gold cartamundi seals and the other one has the blue seal centered...

He does explain further in the description that only 1 is legit mint, (the one in carat case) and says where he got it. While 2 are opened and cancelled Jerry Nugget decks, and 1 is a fake. So Caveat Emptor, I say. Read through carefully.before bidding

The Test Bundle and Jerry's Nugget are mine. Exactly what is inaccurate about the 111 decks? Or anything in the Fable listing? When I do list as an auction rather than a buy it now, I start everything at .01, even on the Nuggets. If you don't read the descriptions then you deserve to get taken. They only give you so many characters for the title. I wasn't going to list it as used or fake. If you actually sell by auction and not buy it now, you really want to draw in as many as you can. As soon as someone sees not real or fake in a description, whether or not you also have real in the same description, buyers normally run.
Besides, on probably 85% of my listings, my prices are the cheapest on eBay. Usually much cheaper than my nearest competitor. With free domestic shipping. I never try to scam anyone nor hose them for top dollar and if a deck has a dented corner, hole in the cellophane, or any other flaw, I list it as a dent sale. If someone makes me an offer and it's at least 60-70% of my asking price, I normally take it.

Heck yeah! Haha...I try to provide an admittedly small and sometimes lame bit of humor in my listings. If I can put a smile on a face, I consider it a good day.

My jaw almost unhinged when I saw this, $1082 for an Icons Imperial Reverse:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Icons-Imperial ... 3981780920
Sure it's rare, but that price has left the stratosphere, you could possibly fill more than 1/3 of an entire Lotrek collection for that!

Depends whose Lotrek collection. I'm sure it's more like 1/8 of Bradius' Lotrek collection

You are probably right.
I went back through several of my posts and I didn't see that I actually posted this information. I guess it ended up cut out as I edit my posts. Anyway, at one point the Icon Reverse was my big whale. There was one up on eBay and I made a make an offer for $660. That was to me an insane amount to pay, but decided to go for it. My offer was I think automatically rejected. I tried to explain that was my absolute top offer. In the end, I did not get the deck. I just say that to state that this particular deck is often really expensive right now in the secondary market when they rarely come to sale. The one Jacks and Jokers sold earlier this year went as part of a complete Icons Set and went for a whole lot more than $1000. Sadly, $1,000 is not as crazy an asking price as you might think. Like me, you may not be willing to pay $1,000 for that deck, but I can assure you others have paid that much, and more.
It kinda makes me cry to know that the Icons Reverse was a free gift by Lotrek to those that backed a tier for four Icon Imperial decks. Sadly that was slightly before I became a Lotrek fanatic.
I might have that hole, but I know Spectre doesn't have a brick of these, which was about half the cost:
What is more crazy, having a brick of Craft Fable decks or a spare House of the Rising Spades brick box laying around?

^ I actually gagged a little at that listing.
Regarding the Icons Reverse, I just don't see why it would be considered so desirable to command even half that price when compared to Venexiana Gold etc despite the low numbers, Grotesk Bronze Experimental has roughly the same # and goes for <200 when it pops up.

The thing about the Reverse Icon Imperials was how they were distributed: you could only get one if you had already spent $400 on Lotrek decks, and there was a hard limit of one per person, which means that no one started off with a "spare" right out of the gate. Typically, I am more inclined to trade or sell a deck if it's a duplicate within my collection. I can't be the only collector out there who does likewise.
As a result, there are very few people who possess this deck who are interested in parting with it. And, yeah, those who are interested would likely prefer a premium to part with it.
I'm tempted to list mine for $1,000. (Note: I've never posted any of my cards for sale on eBay, at least that I recall, so note that I'm just *tempted*, I'm not yet persuaded that I would.) I love having this very rare deck as a badge of honor: I was a very early supporter of Lotrek's, and went to the proverbial wall in my support. I mean, really. Four $100 decks in one purchase? Yeah, I did that. And, I have the badge of honor to show for it.
But... would I be willing to sell that badge of honor? Well, yes. The question I haven't answered for myself yet is: would I do it for $1000? Would I do it for $660? Would I set the price higher?
I don't know.

Yes The Icons Imperial Reverse deck on eBay is mine. Yes it is listed for slightly over a grand. Yes, that is how much I paid for it. I'm a sucker when it comes to completing a collection. I have also paid $1000 for each of the two decks I currently have. It’s not like I got the deck for free and I'm selling it to make some huge profit. As for the listing, I think rousselle has spoken for me. I don't really want to part with it. But I have two. I'm slowly getting rid of my duplicates and if there is someone out there that really, REALLY, wants this deck, like I did, they are going to have to pay to get mine. Or I'll keep it which is absolutely fine with me.
Here is a question for those that think it's too expensive, how much did you pay for yours? (Unless you are one of the lucky ones that received it as a gift from Lotrek)
