The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW) -- LIVE on KS
So close to 1000%! Argh. lol. Would be such a cool milestone to hit. Regardless we’re thrilled. 2.5 hours to go.

I wonder if it can still make it? Or if some pledges will drop?

Good luck on closing it out. Any way it goes, it has been a resounding success. You are currently 9th highest funded Kickstarter project for playing cards. If you can nudge it just past $150,003, then that will put you in 8th highest funded for playing cards.
Early congrats on a well run campaign. Soon the hard work for you starts. So, my decks ship in early June, right?

Bad news: I completely stuffed up my dates. I forgot my subscription for my other hobby comes out today. I'm gonna be like $5 short on my pledge.
Good news: Kickstarter has a grace period. Because it's a 5 Friday month, I get paid on the 1st, 3rd & 5th Friday rather than my usual 1st and 4th.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
Hey all! Just a 24 hour reminder to anyone who may still have to update payment/credit card info before Kickstarter expunges your pledge. If for whatever reason KS does remove you as a backer you will still be able to claim your pledge via Backerkit BUT you won't be alerted of campaign updates via email any longer and will have to manually check the campaign page to see them.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
I'm glad TGW is going with BackerKit because I forgot to add on more mini decks in addition to what was given for free as a stretch goal. I always wondered, does KS get their percentage from the additional funds acquired through BackerKit, or just what was pledged during the campaign? If KS gets no access to BackerKit funds, then I don't know why more project creators don't just make tiers or add ons exclusively though BackerKit only.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
the simple answer is that backerkit takes an equal percentage from sales done through backerkit rather than Kickstarter. The second reason is of course that more funding via KS had the added psychological effect of crowd social proofing. As a creator you really want that percentage funded to be as high as possible. The last reason I can think of of the top of my head is that some smaller campaigns need all the help they can get to fund and add ons are a great way to increase that funding number without having to entice new folks. You just get more interest from your already captive audience.sinjin7 wrote:I'm glad TGW is going with BackerKit because I forgot to add on more mini decks in addition to what was given for free as a stretch goal. don't think I'll get these but the custom courts are pretty sweet, especially the saucy Queen of Hearts!

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
If you ever need a "standard" deck of cards, these should be at the top of your list.venomatic wrote:don't think I'll get these but the custom courts are pretty sweet, especially the saucy Queen of Hearts!
Since I play a lot of euchre and poker with old people (my parents' age), this is the type of deck they prefer.

Re: The Parlour Playing Cards (TGW)
I received my survey at 2:10pm and opened it immediately. There was an option to add on the $30 Dynastinaes (brick tier), but no option to add the extra $45 deck. The $30 option wouldn't increase to qty. 2, either. I was definitely confused but just figured they were sold out between 2:00pm and 2:10pmTheGentlemanWake wrote:The surveys were actually launched late at 2:09. Dynastinaes were sold out at 2:32!
