Lotrek, you mentioned that for Gold Patrons we would get two decks that are exclusive to Patreon backers. Can Gold Patrons purchase more than the two they get as Gold Patrons? Can Silver Patrons or regular patrons purchase them? I am just trying to get clarification...for my dog. He wants to know.

I still don’t understand why the 2 decks cannot have some minor differences. Has there been any other program out there that does this? People who want 2 of the same deck would double the money for 2 subscriptions.

I personally like this approach. I usually get two of a deck, one to open and one to keep sealed. But again that's just my approach. I would think it makes more logistical sense to make a bigger batch of one deck to give out two rather than creating two unique decks and a lower count. He wouldn't have time to create anything else if he was creating 4 different decks for the Patreon each year

Minor - the keyword is minor. Every deck maker does that. I rather display 2 different decks than 2 identical decks.
Maybe the side effect is it heavily devalue the deck since a group of people not like you will just want to sell one off rather than keeping both.

Most people want to have 2 copies for whatever reason. Usually because they just want to sell the second. A minor difference if it is too minor becomes unimportant. if it isn't too minor it just becomes a source of trouble.
Two copies of an extremely limited deck will tempt many people to sell the second copy at an insane price, which I have no reason to prevent since it will help more to become patrons.
I think the scheme is very balanced:
-You want 2 copies just because you want 2 copies? Here you go.
-You don't get the point of having 2 copies? Just sell the second. You'll probably end up with a good profit.
-You are a cold blooded reseller? Same as above.
-You are Bradius's dog? Then you really know about supporting artists!

I don’t agree ‘most’ people want 2 of everything and some people like me are not into selling. I think people who have been on UC a long time represent one aspect of collectors who may want 2 of everything. Still, I predict the price of these decks will not be insane. Check out the crypt deck price. But I will play your game for a while.

People seem to forget how Patreon works. You do give money to whatever you wanna support - artists, news outlet, content creator, ...
In return or as an incentive to do so, you get a reward, a gift. I'm all in for speaking one's mind and suggest something, but if the creator has spoken then it's take it or leave it.
Lotrék is not playing a game, he is offering something and everyone is free to join or pass.
P.S.: Best of luck to the fellows asking for a launch time

My dog is confused. He keeps refreshing to join Lotrek’s Patreon service, but he seems to think there is an unlimited sliced meats tier. Once I mentioned “sliced”, he went crazy....the silly dog doesn’t even care about Greek stamps anymore.

Hi, I believe Patreon means ‘support the artist’ but I don’t know it means ‘no questions asked’ or ‘join a cult’. To me a relationship goes both ways. Most artists or businesses try to attract a wider audience rather than restrict themselves to a subset of them. More support means more money means more funds for creativity/innovation, in turn everyone involved benefits.

Launch time will be my favourite time, suited to the graveyard theme: Midnight in Greece, 5:00pm EST in the States.

I'm assuming you will not launch on Sept 1st then, right? If you did, that time would still be August 31 at Patreon, which is based on Pacific time, and they would charge for August, then again for September.
( I once signed up for Patreon at 1:50am Central time... which is 11:50pm Pacific... and I got charged a whole month for those 10 minutes

)

It will be the midnight from 1st to 2nd of September. Let's say September 1st 11:59pm Athens time. It should be already heavily 1st of September anywhere in the world.
Although I have confidence that somehow I'll manage to mess it up again!

As written in my post you've quoted, there is nothing wrong with voicing one's opinion/making suggestions.

Hey, sorry man, see what I read instead above. It doesn't sound as free for me to speak my mind as it seems.
Sorry about saying things that disagrees. I am joining the Patreon, unless Lotrek blacklisted me... Let's give the attention back to the creator.

All points are valid. The problem is that Patreon is a way to help creators bring out their full(?) potential. It's not an alternative method to sell a deck. We're up to crazy stuff which demands crazy work. The decks that will be born through Patrons' help are -I believe- the true purpose of all this. Of course people won't commit themselves to paying a monthly fee just for the satisfaction of contributing to the creation. At least not enough people. That's why instead of simply keeping patrons in the loop we offer literally unique decks as rewards.
There will be people happy with the tiers as they are, people who would like to pay less for less, people who would like to pay more for more, etc. but one of the goals is to keep things simple.
I really want to keep everyone happy but I've noticed that whenever I see a complain which seems reasonable and try to do a change to satisfy this request, others may get angry.
It never ends and collectors are weird.
Imagine, there are even some folks among them that shamelessly practice non-opening!!!

No, there will only be a 1 month time limit.
