Yep, sorry, Karin. I said gold but should have said copper above (corrected up there).
Here's the actual paper stock, which - when rendered, looks orange-red. If you look closely at the details, it's copper metallic with filigree.

With about 60 hours to do, there are still about 10 each of the public Gran Riserva edition decks left.
In the interest of completeness, if anyone wants to get a pair, until they are gone, you can.
The UC member editions will be limited to somewhere around 30 each, no more will be sold, and I don't have an up-to-date tally.

The Nouveau & Bourgogne Gran Reserva decks tucks will be constructed soon, now that I have shipped the heavy card stock for the laser cuts to Steve at Clearcut Creations in Britain, and the five extra Spanish suited cards unique to the ultra limited edition decks arrived today from MPC on their awesome new 330gsm German card stock made by Chromolux.
The balance of the card stock - to make the GR tuck boxes, along with the extra cards ships to Karin in Barcelona as soon as she finishes moving. If you have not kept up with the updates from KS, the digital proofs were approved with minor changes several weeks ago and we hope she has printed proofs this week, or we'll lose another week to the Chinese New Year.
Here's a pix of those extra Spanish suited cards:

Deck ship tomorrow, so I am told. I make the final payment to Expert PCC Friday.
Float is 3-4 weeks plus a week for customs and trucking to Texas. Fulfillment should be about the end of April - finally!

You know what I love about these? I wanted them to fund twice and they didn't. I was very sad. Then, they became the UC deck of '16 and it funded with no problem! Kind of makes me think of another campaign that tried to fund twice and failed recently. A campaign similar to this one where the art, theme and design were amazing but for some reason didn't fund. Hmmm... Mike- maybe you can make "Select" the UC deck of '17?? Just a thought. But I'd love to see the Edgy Bros. come back with that and maybe being an official UC deck is the secret sauce.

Well, I agree that should have funded, but I am already in discussions with one of our artists about UC2017, and due to a similar circumstance(s), I don't want to vary the course.

It's all good. I just want to see Select become a reality.

I seen the latest update and I'm very intrigued in the new Carnivalia series decks involving Rio de Janeiro. Should be way different and more custom than the Brazil 2014 deck.

I just happened to check right at the point when the APL Antwerp (the ship that's picking up the Nouveau & Bourgogne decks from Expert PCC in Taiwan) pulled into the break-water to dock at the port and load the decks (and discharge things, load other things, etc) a few minutes ago, so here's the moment that the ship passed through the outer harbor into the inner harbor where the actual docking takes place:
So if you'd like to follow the ship during it's trip across the Pacific to the port here in the states when the trucking company takes over to get them that last portion of the way to Gambler's Warehouse fulfillment center for distribution to the backers, here's the information you need to know to use with either "MarineTraffic.com" or "VesselFinder.com" websites or their corresponding apps on both iOS and Android platforms for tracking ocean freighters around the world. You can use either of two identifiers to find the ship: "APL Antwerp" (the ship name itself) of the IMO # 9532795 which is a unique 7-digit number that identifies all ocean-going freighters around the world for the International Marine Organization ("IMO"). They move right along, so the ship will likely be in port only a very few hours before it takes off across the ocean to the states. Yesterday, the same ship was in the South China sea and the day before it was docked at the previous port in China.

Though I don't have any artwork to show you yet, I do have a very clear idea and design in my head (which I'll start working on as soon as I'm done with my little gift for all our backers

). You can expect a completely custom and different deck, that's for sure. It's a challenging theme, which makes it even more interesting and motivating since it's gonna be very different from what you're used to

coming soon!

Yes, PT - it is indeed the Antwerp, as in European - although the ship is registered in Panama (most are).
For those of you playing virtual tanker SIM with me, here's the latest: it made port in Japan yesterday after leaving Taiwan late Tuesday evening, and is now headed for "USA SANPEDRO" (AKA "Port of Los Angeles") due on 11-April, which is less than two weeks from now. We must have hitched a ride on a fast ship! Usually they drift across the Pacific through the Panama Canal up to Port of NY/NJ over a 3-4 week time-span, but these should be sitting in Texas at Gambler's fulfillment center around the middle of April. The scheduled arrival is 9PM that day, and it's not unusual for that to change by 24-48 hours during the transit, so I'll keep watching:

OK, we've watched ships that took 3-4 weeks before, but apparently this one is hauling @#%! Here's the tracker as of today: shows in port "SANPEDRO" (Los Angeles) at 21:00 / 9PM on the 11th (which is Monday) Notice that the icon showing where the ship is located is off the top right corner of the description of the ship...

Don't be silly, Victor. We have a "No sale before 90% backers fulfillment" clause in every contract.
They can't even be advertised for one month before that, so we might be a day or two early, but at this time since the decks will be in Los Angeles in less than 30 hours, I am pretty certain that were fine. We expect Gambler's Warehouse fulfillment center in Texas to be shipping in less than two weeks, and shipped complete in three.

As of this afternoon, the ship is maneuvering off Long Beach to prepare for docking later this evening
As I was posting this, I was notified that the ship had docked, some 6-7 hours early:
It's on "Terminal Island" off Long Beach, southern port of Los Angeles California.

Updated yesterday afternoon - decks received Tuesday afternoon, and
"will ship all domestic tomorrow and international Thursday.
Everything done in 2 days"
(this was late yesterday, so we expect all decks will be shipped today or at latest by tomorrow. There are still about a dozen Nouveau decks left, available only from UCdecksales.com
Orders made there should ship next Thursday, assuming that we have our Stock from GW by Tuesday. I have about 30 orders to pack and ship, many international - all Priority Mail.

With backer fulfillment shipping complete, I started receiving some reports of delivery around noon today. Time to start watching the mailbox! The first two delivery received reports were in Texas, which makes sense because Gambler's Warehouse fulfillment center is in Grand Prairie TX.
There are about a dozen Nouveau decks left on UCdecksales.com, otherwise some resellers will have stock in a few weeks. Gran Reserva decks are on their way to Karin Yan of Bonafide Playing Cards in Barcelona, but will take several weeks before they are shipped (well, several weeks before she actually HAS them to finish the signature edition decks to BE shipped. Spanish customs is amongst the slowest I have found...
Remember that overseas delivery also has to get through customs. & taxation authorities before they are delivered - finally.

I can vouch that at least one shipment has arrived in the greater Seattle area.
Nice deck. Great addition to the lineup of UC decks.

I received my mixed brick here in California. Very happy to add this to my collection of past Annual UC decks. The one question I have is that the green deck was the original, and the burgundy deck was the stretch goal, but if there was funding to only foil the tuck of one deck (and I wish both got the foiling, because the Bourgogne is exquisite), I'm wondering why it wasn't the original deck?

Thank you guys!! So happy that the decks are delivered at last!

sinjin7 I decided to use the foiling on the Bourgogne deck because it looked better with the coloring; the burgundy and golden mix looked great in my head so I thought that it was the best option

The Nouveau deck has embossing, so this way both are different and unique
