I'm pretty sure everyone here knows about my preference for USPCC. While I like the stiffness and durability of the Taiwanese stock, they tend to warp slightly to produce click bends too often. Plus the finish makes the cards feel way to plasticky for me.

I think I actually prefer the regular edition deck more than the limited. It sounds like the limited deck will have a more blinged out tuck with it's interior printing, but the rest of the decks look pretty much the same. The spot cards are identical, and you have the border around the courts for the limited version, but I like the bigger courts of the standard deck and they appear less busy without the border. The backs are pretty similar as well, with the standard version a bit less busy as well. However, I do miss the red dots in the corners of the limited edition, they'll definitely make fans and spreads more appealing.

On the number cards, check out the pips for the black suits. In the limited ed., the spades and clubs are filled in white, whereas they are only outlined in the standard deck. Gotta say, this is the one very clear case where the win goes to the limited version (for me, at least).

I too like the regular edition version. I could have went for the the 2 limited, but specifically chose 1 regular and 1 limited. I'm still on the fence if I want to add another regular version, but there are a few projects coming up that I might rather push money their way instead.

Right corner > Backed projects > Crazy 8's > Reward > Under Pledge, there's a Backer Number.

I don't think the backer number really means anything though. Just because you backed the project and you're number 10, for example, it doesn't mean that you'll get #10/888.

Agreed. Backer number doesn't mean anything except that you're slower than Pierre. :)

I don't really like bike branded decks, but I do think his original design, when there was a planned bike version, had a better overall design. What we have now is still great though, I'm excited to see JR mix up his styles.
I’ve been at this a long time. And I’m tired.

Where'd you see this at? I received word that the Texas deck didn't have its uncut sheets pulled, which makes two projects in a row where 2 different printers forgot to pull the uncut sheets. If Crazy-8s also didn't get uncuts then there are some issues at KWP that need fixin. After all, Jackson's projects do seem to have a bunch of mistakes / errors. Off the top of my head we have, the Moriarty deck mess up, selling unbranded black reserve decks beyond of the limit that was supposedly made, decks put in wrong tuck boxes / incorrect labels affixed, uncut sheets not pulled and of course misprinted cards. Oh and don't forget the infamous "I'll give you UC guys something cool, oh wait no I won't."

from Marcus ....

"Hi,
Unfortunately we’ve had another few bumps in the road with the latest Kickstarter projects. As EPCC were not able to deliver the uncut sheets for the Crazy 8’s project we will be refunding you for that part of the pledge.
Would you be able to provide us with a paypal address to which we can send the refund?
Thanks for understanding,

Marcus - Kings Wild Project"

Well scuse me but I don't understand .... their last update had pics of uncuts from EPCC, but now they are missing .... huh .... what the .... ?

Edited
Marcus sent to the effect there are no uncuts to be had, none at all, they were not produced, all who paid for uncuts will get refunds.
There are none whatsoever in existence.

Well, "de nada" sort of means "you're welcome/no problem", but other than that the message is correct. ;)

While I'm aware of the Moriarty issues etc, I can't speak for any projects in the past in which I were not involved, but yes - it's been a somewhat chaotic winter/spring/summer. Some of it has been human error on KW's part (the misprinted ace for the Texas deck for example), and some of it has been for other reasons. I can only give you the info I have myself - as there were no uncut sheets lifted off of the press for the 8's, the Texas or the Wasteland projects everyone who pledged for those will be refunded. I have personally sent everyone affected an e-mail.

The uncut sheets Bruno mentioned above from one of the Crazy 8's updates is a screen capture of the soft proof which is a digital proof and not an actual physical uncut sheet. I understand any frustration about the uncut sheets and also the hassle that's been with the last few projects, and I'm doing what I can to make sure we minimize the risk of similar issues in the future.

I hope this answers most of your questions. I don't always have time to frequent these forums as much as I would prefer as I do that on my spare time, but you can reach me at my e-mail listed in my signature.
Yes, I might be the guy you remember from that thing at that place way back when.

From the latest KS update:
When I was writing up the presentation of the Crazy 8’s Kickstarter project, I copied the deck information from a previous campaign and edited it, however I missed to remove a line that said the LTD edition was going to have an embossed tuck case. My intention was never to do an embossed tuck case for either version as that would not work well with the chalkboard style of the lines and illustrations of the Crazy 8’s. (It’s in lack of better words a ”scratchy” style and embossing it would look like a small mess.) I went ahead and had both editions printed as planned, and they arrived just recently at KW headquarters ready to be fulfilled. It wasn’t until after this that the mistake in the KS presentation was noticed.
As I missed to remove this part of the information, there might be backers who pledged under the assumption that the LTD tuck case would have embossing, and the last thing I want is to send out a product to someone who feels like they aren’t receiving what they were promised. I hate the idea of disappointing someone who has supported my art. I can’t change the tucks after the fact (and I would not want to as that would make the final product less than it is), but I can and I will offer a refund to anyone who feels that they want one instead of their LTD decks. Anyone who wants to take me up on this offer can send an e-mail about it to marcus@kingswildproject.com and he will set things in motion. To the rest of you, I am truly sorry for the mistake made and I hope that you will love the decks as much as I do despite this. To those of you who choose to not get the refund for the LTD decks, we will include a signed Standard Edition with every package as a bonus. We will hold off on beginning fulfillment of LTD orders until later this week to give everyone a chance to contact us if they opt for a refund.

It was only a standard and limited deck unless it was a 3 deck pledge tier or something else.

I think he is referring to the signed standard deck that Jackson included in the rewards (at least I got one in my order), I believe it was a gesture of good will for the delays and other troubles with his campaign :D
