I wasn't really expecting that the decks will go immediately, although (like in KS) the first hours were crazy.
Taking inti account the amount of personal work involved, you're ripping me off however it still isn't a cheap deck. I tried to keep the price as low as possible to help people get it. It's an experimental print after all which isn't yet technically "perfect".

But as I'm packaging the decks for shipment, I say that the beauty was worth the effort.

Btw, I was planning to begin shipment on Saturday but I had kinda underestimated the work needed. I'll start sending these out on Tuesday. Not a big deal compared to IMPERIAL Edition's delay...

Kinda funny that the second edition of a series is released before the first one but we know why. Once again, it's best to wait on something to be perfect than to release it when something's wrong and people bitch about it.

@Lotrek, you really need to fix the link to your site in your signature. It still has the https link, but apparently your site doesn't support - at least not at the root level. Perhaps you were logged in as admin and copied the URL and then shortened, keeping the https. Anyhow, click here and remove the 's' from the link ucp.php?i=profile&mode=signature

I'm really on the fence for this one, while the price is really good for such an ornate tuck/deck factoring the shipping and the "bit sensitive to rubbing and should be handled with care" issue has me going back and forth. It certainly is a cheap way to get in on the Icons deck, especially since I skipper Imperial, but I'm really being selective these days due to no more display room. It's already too much out of control, I've been informed thusly by the wife.

A few questions
- Am I correct in assuming these are the exact same cards as the Imperial edition, but with the gold foil embellishments on the courts and a different tuck?
- Are both the tuck and cards sensitive to rubbing?

Well I did try that and it seems that Paypal won't let me do that either. I don't understand why they would completely cut a person off like this.

The courts are basically the same, with metallic gold embellishments plus the halo that Byzantine icons had. There is no foil on the courts.
The back is also slightly different (cross instead of eagle).

Only the cards are sensitive to rubbing. The tuck is okay, you can rub it as much as you want!

Just ordered one. Still some left, for all those who get paid today...

All I mostly do is shuffle and bridge. Just in case something happens to the deck, I got extra to play with. However you use the cards, you'll see what happens to them.

I just hope the 3rd deck in the series isn't released before Imperial.

Darn it, I am finally able to order a couple of these and it looks like they're all sold out.

These decks are not the kind to sleep on. I did the same for another highly sought after deck in the past. Still kicking myself for it. Now they'll go for sooooo much more on eBay.

Shipment begins tomorrow.

Shipment was completed yesterday. Due to a 5-day Easter holiday here in Greece, I assume they won't fly right away. Europe based people should start getting their decks late next week.

Regarding numbers: Unfortunately these were given randomly. The cello wrapping (which is applied by heat) affected many numbers making it not easy to see. Plus, the workshop that did the wrapping completely mixed the decks and putting them again in order was just crazy given that I couldn't make out the actual number in some of them...

I'll be able to provide tracking after Thursday.

And NPCC always deliver decks sorted by numbers (in bricks) to their customers

I have reserved some for the Byzantine museum of Athens but as I had requests from quite a few people I reopened it for a while. Backers have priority even over the museum!

Darn! That was fast...was thinking about picking up a couple extra decks, but they are no longer available

Unfortunately, I do have one issue: my deck contains 2 Queens of clubs, and no Jack of clubs! Anyone else have an issue like this?
