Get some god damn rest Omar. I'll talk to my accountant and then might be in for a Monarch plus Dynastinæ.

Wait a minute. For the red, blue, black and white tucks, the card backs are displayed as the front of the tuck and the Successor picture is displayed as the back of the deck (with the tuck flap showing?) Unless the deck is meant to be opened from the front similar how David Blaine's current Gatorback decks are?

On all the decks the “front” is considered the part with the thumb groove. The “backs” show the card backs. This is a Kevin proclivity — he’s done that on a few of his releases.

You might have mentioned it before but do the decks come stacked?

No. These are particular aren’t planned to come in any stack order. However if there’s demand for it it’s just a question of reordering then prior to sending the mechanical files out to Cartamundi. I just thought of all of my releases this is the least magic friendly.

Quite the opposite, I like classic NDO.

I also like NDO - as it keeps me in practice - I learned the shuffling needed to put them in mnem order and keep every one of my opened decks that way (100+)

Ok it makes sense. I'm not a big fan because it seems like opening the deck backwards but I'll still support.

If the mini deck stretch goal is reached, which design and colors will it be?

The Crown Prince Edition will have some unique color combinations. I need to check with Cartamundi to be sure what we want to do is possible.

Naw, just disappointed because I don't like gilded decks. But hey, I'm fully cognizant that it's impossible to please everyone and I'm fine with this not being for me. Omar, fulfill YOUR vision, not anyone else's.

Unfortunately not planned. I can say that we will be using Cartamundi's french facility which produces the BEST handling gilded decks I've ever handled.

Mini feels gimmicky and in general overdone at this point. Takes away from the regal feel of the other decks and most importantly, it doesn't fit within the sarcophagus which makes it weird for me but 🤷🏿‍♀️... if the demand is there.

the only deck i really want is the white one but $95 is quite a stretch for it. 95 because you have to buy another deck to add it on. with all of the controversy of the box and gated decks and now the tucks are backwards, i have lost the last bit of motivation i have for this campaign. i love you TGW but this just might go in the file with the hundreds of other campaigns and decks i have not bought in the last 4 years. i think all the issues added up just make this not the campaign for me even though the decks and items are beautiful. at this point it is as much about the principle of not supporting these practices as it is about the other issues. shame as the parlour was my first and only ever brick purchase due to the great value, and the hype i must admit. the tempest i only purchased 4 decks because of the gated decks. i have no doubt this campaign will be a smash hit, your biggest yet, with or without my pledge.

My one, valid, counterargument is that the heirs to the throne are often tiny children--and should be represented in the lineage! :)

I COMPLETELY understand. And I'm sorry that I could not produce a reward option what was enticing enough for you--but thank you for your participation and for your opinion. IT IS VALUED and APPRECIATED.

like a little prince or princess deck. quite a cute take on it. actually quite fitting.

Of course subjective af but yah, cute is not what I want to connect to regal. As mentioned, you do you. I'm fine with other liking and getting the mini. It's not forced on me so I'm cool.

Yes, the idea would be to take the Anointed joker and replace the coronation scene on the standard tuck with this artwork. Changing the word Anointed for the Successor ofc :) BUT ITS a very lofty stretch goal. It will be a good problem to have.

By the way, Kevin and I both agree that the Imperial Black is not up to snuff. We are planning some improvements to the tuck box and the cards that I believe will bring it in line with the rest of the offering.

Ey! Don't make me to want the black one as well, haha. I'm good that it indeed feels closer to the standard ones than to the more blinged out ones.

Since it's the only non-gilded edition with cold foil faces, this is the edition I most want!

Don't worry it will only be improved not changed radically. It will remain ungilded and keep the cold foil. We are looking at primarily increasing the amount of contrasting black tone on the back (to play off the gold foil better) and adjusting the tuck box foils (more towards a gold/black monochromatic look) and talking about the addition of a custom sleeve as a stretch goal. The price point will also remain unchanged.
