As far as the handling discussion goes, I'm not sure what process Randy used to create his "King of Tigers" deck but LPCC (the printing company he used) knocked it out of the park! The cards fan superbly, regardless of the fact that the backs are covered in the shinny, foily material. They're a tad stiff but nothing a little breaking in can't fix. I prefer it that way anyway, as opposed to Cartamundi's slightly thinner stock.
If Jackson is using a different method than Randy then none of this matters. But LPCC prints through EPCC if I'm not mistaken, not sure if it's China or Taiwan so maybe that's another difference.

Even as a hardcore cardist (which is the opposite of a tuckist, obviously), I have to say: THAT is a nice box.

The Fort Knox edition sold out in about/under one minute. From Instagram it looks like there were 180 decks limited to 1 per person. I thought for sure I would be able to get one but tried to place order seconds after being available and got the dreaded sold out message when trying to pay. Sigh.

I managed to get one of each this time around, but I really dislike having to do this. I made a reference in another thread commenting on how I used to think people waiting in line outside for a new sneaker drop or whatever were idiots, yet here I am twitchily hitting refresh hoping to be able to get something before it sells out. Maybe I need a different hobby.
I wonder how long before these start appearing on eBay with an enormous markup...
Still, really nice decks, and I'm liking the book box concept a lot. I'm hoping the outsides start getting more interesting as Jackson develops them further. I'm thinking like old 1800s books that had these great ornate covers.

Apparently only 80 made available to members today, the other 100 tomorrow.

I was likewise able to add the Fort Knox edition to my cart but it was unavailable when I went to pay. That is a shopping cart "feature" that I know JR has no control over and that still annoys me greatly, but there's nothing to be done about it as long as this is the shopping cart used (and, I know that he has spent a great deal of effort finding a shopping cart system that works for his business's needs as well as this one does, so can't really fault him for sticking with it.)
I will say, I'm very glad he limited these to one per person. I'm curious how many people set up multiple browsers to snag more than one anyway, but hey; this is the game, and I sincerely appreciate Jackson's listening to us and making the effort in this case. I hope he continues to do that for future super-limited releases.
Managed to grab a holographic gilded, and that will be fine. Still hope to grab an uncut of the V2 at some point.

I sure am glad I am not interested anymore in these fights for limited decks. It makes my life so much easier. I honestly wish Jackson wouldn't do it, but that is his business. He sells out and gets lots of traffic, so I guess it makes sense for him to keep doing it. As a collector though, I find it beyond frustrating. I did pick up a Deck the Halls. I have the originals, so this will be a nice addition. I am only getting one, but opening it up as it isn't insanely rare. I think the price is right at the same as the original, with this one using foil, so "thanks" to Jackson for providing great value, which I do appreciate.

I suppose we are of opposite minds on this. I really like the super limited releases he does. Granted, I've never missed one, so I might be a little biased on that front.

I just have to say. I recently got my version 2 of the holo legal tenders after I had bought several of the version ones. Jackson you made the perfect changes to the holographic highlights on the version two. I am blown away. I am on record on EPCC in regards to handling but specifically the subtle use of the holo... man it is really really beautiful! well done!

Just received my Legal Tender Holographic V2
And to compare side by side with the Holographic V1 - I must say.... THE V2 IS BETTER!
V2 totally have that vibes of holding actual money on your hands - Or credit cards?
Glad you make those adjustments, Jackson! And it seems.... you are fell in love with EPCC foils, you are using it to all your new decks now!

Is there a way by only the tuck to distinguish v1 holo from v2 holo?

Yes. On the bottom of the tuck it should say version II. I think this refers to v2.

So, anyone checked out the "masterpiece" (or should it be masterpieces?) that is the Legal Tender puzzle? JR is launching a revolutionary new product using a technological advancement that makes the simple extremely complicated, calling it a Jigsaw Puzzle. Something that's gonna turn the world of collectable art on its head ! Or so JR claims.
It's worth checking out the promo video
here . JR's best yet!

@jacksonrobinson Got myself a pair of v2 holographic edition and it's just stunning. Wondering if there's a plan for the Renmibi version to get similar v2 holographic treatment?

Good question. I loved the details and colors JR used for the LT Yuan deck. Sorely overlooked and underrated. Of course, it helps that I actually have real yuan notes to compare with the deck. Not sure if the demand for the LT yuan deck was ever high enough to warrant a reprint. JR still has lot of stock left in the warehouse, based on the numbers. Plus the negative feedback from his reprinting of the old currency decks may deter him from doing so.
Anyone who attends the Live drawing sessions and reads this, please do pop the question to JR and see if he's considered it.

I'd say sooner or later he'll do it. If my intel is correct he is workig on a Pound Sterling version?
The Renminbi (Yuan) deck is pretty sought after; I know quite some folks who are searchig for them. As far as I've observed, Jackson only got negative feedback for the dull tuckboxes of the Federal52 series and that the reprints were part of the sub series which wasn't that great for seasoned KWP fans/subscribers. For the Holo Legal Tender I didn't hear people complain and he sold out the first run in a heartbeat so that speaks for itself.

From the most recent weekly update video, Jackson also
revamped the Legal Tender product page with a bunch of info, history, and pics - very cool!

He said they'll do the same thing with other decks too

About time he started putting more info on his courts. Makes the decks come alive and you actually learn something from it rather than just admire the pretty designs and courts. Very helpful for the international collectors who doesn't know anything about US history and have no idea who these people are.

About time people do their own reserach if something really interests them.
Very nice of KWP to go the extramile though.
