Can it be an IP ban this time so he can keep his nonsense to himself permanently and not just sign up for another username yet again? For those unaware, CCwonder was his old account, which was previously banned.
Possibly Harvonsgard or something as well.

As for determination if strag has earned the right to use the word troll or if that counts as personal attack I will leave to other mods - as I don’t have the time to make fair determination at this moment if the post gets an edit - I loathe the need to spend time to consider such things, thus civility makes my life easier, and everyone else’s more pleasant.
To be clear, I didn't quote anyone or name anyone in my post as a troll. I was making an observation. Could someone interpret it as being targeted to them, well sure, but then it's pretty clear that they are a troll if they do think it's targeted to them, doesn't it?
I moderate for a forum that has 10s of thousands of members. I know how hard it is to do (I used to mod here as well). But I also don't have the time or patience for someone who clearly doesn't want to create a positive community and I am usually quite quick with a ban hammer if I feel it is warranted. My community has a very clear set of rules and guidelines for people to follow and they must agree to those rules or they are unable to post. Violators get a warning and time out, but egregious behavior gets dealt with immediately.
If the mods here felt I crossed a line, I would be fine with taking a time out or a ban, even if I disagree (as I do here, there was no personal attack and no direction at an individual). Ultimately, as I get older I find I do not suffer fools gladly.

Wait did gandalf ban Harv too? Gandalf is drunk on power!! /s
Also if it walks like a duck and talks like a duck...
Jazz was an obvious troll and calling him one doesn't mean you're the bad guy. If calling him a troll should get you banned then ban me too. He's a troll and I'm glad he's banned. Good riddance.

I agreed with it too much, and it needed to be pointed out to Jazz, but did figure in trying to talk Jazz off the ledge I needed to make some note of it lest I have to deal with one of his “unfair” rants as well.
Jazz crossed the line, and dragged everyone over it.
People have mentioned troll and Jazz in close proximity before and my normal instinct was to remove, but I honestly felt the time had come to deal with it rather than give him the white glove treatment yet again in hopes of having him not act antagonistically at every chance.
Strag can do no wrong by me.

Nah, Harv is a different guy. He seems to just be taking a break.

I will not celebrate, but simply breathe a sigh of relief. That individual seriously detracted from my enjoyment of this forum.

And thats the size of it to me - almost all complaints from a wide variety of users over the past months have been jazzy ones.
We simply have too many nice folk here to let someone reduce their happiness as habit. We invest in new users with rough edges, allowing them time to read the room. Such investments don’t always pay off.
In this case I feel the only debate is if it took too long to handle, not if it needed handling.

So what happened to Harv? I think he disappeared by the time CCWonder emerged with an uncanny resemblance. So I connected the dots from there.
What I'm sure of is, CCWonder wasn't new around here.

Harv comes around from time to time still, and I don’t see the resemblance where it matters

Harvs has not been active for a couple of months - I am worried
Harvs personality reminds me of a poster on another hobby forum called Thylacine
I have a story about him that I would like to share
For those who do not know about the Thylacine, it is the Tasmanian Tiger (Australia) which has not been sighted for 90 years.
Anyway this huge forum personality that went by the name was missing at the time of the Black Saturday fires and we feared he was dead
When he finally surfaced it was with the typically dry message of:
"Extinct not Dead"

This KS playing card campaign is the only one I have left that I backed. I got the the soon the ship update back on May 17th! I almost forgot about it until I browsed another site. Hopefully it'll be in my hands this month.

Kickstarter Update #18 wrote:Hi backers! Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. I have good news to report. Beetle Backs are being fulfilled as I type this! Some of you may have already received shipping notices. Be on the look out!
Regarding the Mixed Bricks. Since these have to be assembled and cellophaned and I did not want to delay fulfillment any more than I had to already the bricks will be delivered a little later. The additional shipping charge will be 100% absorbed by the campaign.

Thanks for the update. I went all in on this one (Prototype Tier), so I guess I am on the wait mode. No big deal if the wait isn't too much extra. Lotrek (and others to be real) have trained me to be patient about playing card fulfillment. Interestingly, I think this is the first of Omar's Kickstarter projects that I have gotten everything. I think this will be my first of his Prism decks. I miss his deck reviews.

I really wish I could have gotten that prototype deck but it wasn’t worth having to buy the brick I think it was.

I mean, I can understand if they used FedEx, because this campaign has been taking a lot of time, and Wake make sure he needs to finish everything before The Grave Witness and The Parlour Royale
But, I feel that sometimes, I questioned FedEx calculations of the due payments to be made before the package arrives haha

FedEx is horrific here in the UK, not only to they overesimate value, they tack on a £15 "processing fee" on top. I never use them.

YES this is same here in SEA, and exactly why I avoid them as I already got burned with Goldsmith. I also paid like $8 shipping fee for Beetlebacks, I'm not sure how TGW afforded FedEx without losses.

Hey, is here any "COMPLETIONIST" tier supporter who already got their decks? I am bit confused about how many decks this tier will actually have. In the shipment info I got:
Code: Select all
Item # Description Qty
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
the-beetle-backs-coin The Beetle Backs Coin 1
the-beetle-backs---prism-limited-edition-deck The Beetle Backs - Prism Limited Edition Deck 1
the-beetle-backs---prestige-limited-edition-deck. The Beetle Backs - Prestige Limited Edition Deck 1
the-beetle-backs---legacy-limited-edition-deck The Beetle Backs - Legacy Limited Edition Deck 1
the-beetle-backs---dynastinae-limited-edition-deck The Beetle Backs - Dynastinae Limited Edition Deck 1
the-beetle-backs---crimson-edition-deck The Beetle Backs - Crimson Edition Deck 1
The Beetle Backs - Cobalt Edition Deck The Beetle Backs - Cobalt Edition Deck 1
But in the campaign there was this info:
It will Include at LEAST sixteen Beetle Backs decks total, plus undisclosed extras!
What should I expect then?
---
Edit: Ok, so the brick is being sent separately. Now I have to figure out how not to be taxed twice. As if the dropped EU-friendly shipping was not enough.
