May the 4th wasn't with TXI appearantly, haha.
No C-3PO as a gold foil back design is such a dropped ball.

I'll bet once they got approval for that one design, it was a lot easier to just stick with it and change the color rather than go through the approval process for a different design that features C3PO.

Alas.

Especially since they could have done the eyes as the two circles.

Sure thing @Allan but I guess May the 4th isn't coming around surprisingly.
TXI's success proves them right; nothing wrong with that but I just love to wear my daydreamer-collectors-glasses in here 😃.

I wish they'd do one of these decks for the original trilogy only.

I got the cards. And I am shocked when I opened the deck, and discovered the cards are also cellophaned. When I smell the cards, and feel the foil, I can conclude these cards are made by LPCC

I might be right, I might be wrong

This is just assumption, as T11 never explicitly said where the Gold is printed. It may still be USPCC’s Metalluxe foil.
Only those who have it and opened can chimed in where they think it is printed

I love how someone can write a statement like that and everyone understands it. Kinda shows the depth of playing card geekism UC goes into. :ugking:

So, I compare the Star Wars Gold with the closest one - DKNY Gold Wheels

dkny gold 1.JPG
dkny gold 2.JPG
dkny gold 3.JPG
Made by UPSCC, metalluxe - rough edges - no indentation on the faces - smooth on the foil

star wars gold 1.JPG
star wars gold 2.JPG
star wars gold 3.JPG
star wars gold 4.JPG
Possibly made by LPCC - hot foil - smooth edges (diamond cut?) - indentation on the faces - can feel the lines on the foil
Plus the cards come in cello

comparison dkny gold and star wars gold.JPG
Hot foil always sheens more, yet it will leave an impression

To me, the cellphone wrapping is the biggest giveaway. I don't think USPCC has ever done that.

Metalluxe is a hot foil process so, not all hot foil leaves indention but yah, in general it is the most common disadvantage of hot foil.
Seeing the pictures I'd say you're conclusion is spot on. Definitely something LPCC/EPCC or their chinese manufacturers.

Yet some people still believe that is is made by USPCC, as LPCC never exceeds in printing more than 54 cards

This Star Wars Gold has 52 standard + 2 Jokers + 2 Ad Cards
Unless there is a deck by LPCC which has more than 54 cards, people will dismiss this

Does the box say "Made in USA" or "Made in China" or the like? If it gives no indication whatsoever, it was printed in the US (unless T11 is breaking import laws). If it says "Made in [any place other than the US]," well, at least we can rule out USPCC.

The box is basically a recolor from the original Star Wars Jedi Blue deck - just switch the foil color to gold - the ad info on the bottom is just like its predecessor
The ad cards are also the same as before. The US on the ad card might refer to where is T11, thus we can't say if it's actually made by USPCC.

If USPCC can do hot foiling, then it is USPCC. If they can't, then it must be between EPCC and LPCC.

Good idea XD
COnsidering now that USPCC is known for it's offset drama.
My Star Wars Gold have a good center of the back design, so it can't be USPCC

It's probably a display case a la The Beatles or LoTR - the embossing on the logo means it's not a card back and the dimensions seem off for a tuck

I agree. And probably a new deck you can "only" get with the $99 box set.
