Yes please  Do we know if this would be supportive enough for the decks if placed upright like a whiskey container? If it's possible to have 2 very rigid dividers in there to divvy up tension into thirds, that would be phenomenal. It would need some thick cardstock. Not sure what others' thoughts are.

Some more images of the artwork. Successor should start fulfillment this month. Which means Beetle Backs is looking like June.

The latest Kickstarter update for successor has me a bit worried. There's just so many decks coming up back to back from TGW at very premium prices. It's a lot of pressure to keep up financially. Is there a reason to put out so much so quickly?

Hi Kevork, the projects are going to be generally smaller in scope than what you are used to.

For instance the CAP decks are a single SKU. 1 set. no options. no other editions. Just one base price (prob in $100 range). If you bought all 4 sets offered throughout the year it amounts to roughly $33 a month. 8 gilded foiled decks, 4 coins, and 4 premium walnut carat cases. It's very much analogous to a Stockholm 17 or Thirdway Industries patreon.

The Wyrmwood projects will have all decks available to all backers. So just the cost of the decks. Prob $18-20 for standard and a bit more for the premium editions. There will be poker sets with beautiful wooden cases for Groundskeeper but those are optional and don't have any plans to have exclusive decks married to them.

Beetlebacks will be a tentpole TGW release. 5 editions. The prism is not locked behind any pledge tier but rather a KS exclusive deck available to all backers. The price will be in the $50 range for Dynastinae and Prism. That means if you got all 5 editions (subject to them being unlocked in the campaign) you would be spending in the neighborhood of $165-ish--a big difference from the much steeper price for the Successor all-in pledge which was $450 PLUS the cost of the KS exclusive legacy editions.

The Grave Witness is still far away and won't be launched until after Beetlebacks fulfills.

This is incredibly helpful and clarifying, Omar. As someone who loves your branded works and concurrently a completionist, this feels great to hear.

Thank you! I will say that I heard ALL the constructive criticisms with Successor and took them to heart. In part to answer your original question, why so many releases? Well the answer is really that I wanted to offer more smaller projects to put LESS pressure on everyone involved. I don't have to put all of my financial eggs in one basket hoping that my sole yearly release can keep TGW inc. afloat--but rather spread it out. If I make less profit per project, but increase the output of projects it ends up working in everyone's favor. You get the same quality you are used to at a better value and in exchange--if you are a completionsit--you just back more of my projects!

X.X guess I am officially out of my league for CAP :(

Do you have a better idea of when this will launch now that Successor fulfillment is complete?

I just submitted the files for prototyping. Should be about 6 weeks until I have cards. So sometime in august I’d wager.

This will be the most backer friendly campaign I’ve ever done. It’s going to be heavily stretch goal driven. Starting with 4 editions. Red, Blue, Black and Dynastinae. There are legacy and prism variants that are only unlocked by stretched goals. There’s also a planned magicians pack which includes a gaff pack and a marked variant. But that unlock is at %700. Initial goal is shaping up to be $19,999
Half of the prism run will be first come first serve. The other half will be available for add-on by the top tier backers.

Sorry I missed this before. The decks are placed in three rows. There should be plenty of support from the tuck boxes and brick box to handle upright display.

Will the Legacy be available at the start or a stretch goal? In your first post you said it would be a stretch goal but I don’t see it on the list.

Looking at it, I may move it up to 600% and move the prism upgrade to 700%.

I'm pretty sure this is the first time I've ever posted prices/campaign structure that hasn't resulted in a huge multipage argument about it. :)

I'm just curious man. Did I do something to offend you? Your criticism tends away from constructive towards personal.
