definitely reopens up, i managed to jump into an early bird position before in the Sherlock deck when someone left it, before moving onto the box instead, which then opens up my old pledge.

For now, you can pledge for the $75 L11 tier and add on the two standard decks. It comes out to $99, which is only $4 more than the $95 SL11 tier.

Oh, are the discounted tiers more beneficial for international backers? I haven't calculated... let me check.

EDIT: Sorry, I got confused. I thought you were referring to my previous post, but I guess you're referring to international shipping in general.

Eoghann gave me this idea when talking about toy soldiers. What if you made the LE decks like this. Cards 2-8 would be a skirmish line of soldiers. 9-10 would be the weapons of war like a cannon, warships, etc...

I guess a warship would be card 10 and a cannon would be 9. A cannon can take out 8 dudes, but a warship can take out a cannon... Or you could add more weapons of war if drawing a 8 person skirmish line has to many elements...

Remember when we use to play the card game "War" as kids. It's just a suggestion. I just don't like the idea of the queen being a warship. I'm assuming the King and Jack or going to be Face cards. I however I do like the idea of transitional cards from the court cards to the pip cards. When I think of a court card I want to see a face...

Maybe Betsy Ross could be one of the queens?

While I agree that I tend to prefer faces for courts, I see a certain logic in warships for queens.

Sprouts, however, is suggesting something that could make an interesting deck in it's own right... The Stratego Deck!

While I like the stratego idea I personally love and am very interested in tall ships and also ships then and still now are referred to as ladies.

I could see a Legendary Ships deck working with this kind of treatment

"Queen Anne's Revenge"
"Flying Dutchman"
Royal Fortune
Adventure Galley

piratey, but not steampunky ;)

RE The queen vote...

I voted A for sure! BUT I have a question, if A gets 30% and B gets 25% and C gets 45% would you say "C" won?!? Since technically it did but to be fair the votes for A and B should be totalled (since both votes wanted the ship design) and then compared to C. Also if A+B > C then the highest of A *or* B would be the final winner.

If that makes any sense....

The same thing happened in the ice deck a while ago, there were multiple choices for transparency of the pips, and 1 choice that had no pips at all. Clearly having some pips was desired by most people, but because it was divided between solid and transparent, the "no pips" actually won...

Yea thats what I was afraid of.... Hopefully Jackson will make a clear post detailing this.... I don't think it was his intention to 'dilute the vote' by offering two different 'ship votes without also offering two different 'female queen' votes.

Jackson says, "My personal favorite is design A ;)"

I don't know. Mixing "One-sided" and "Two-sided" cards to me looses the consistency of the deck. The one true card you can put a big "tall" godie ship with full sails and people won't bitch about it would be the aces, but in doing so would lose the Ship = Queen effect. Design B is fine with the transitional ribbon. It doesn't break any of the rules. How many times have you seen people screw up on the ribbon with text geared toward one side of the card and thus making the card "One-sided", but I can see why he doesn't like design B. It's lacking in stance.

I went for A too in the hope that courts might end up consistently 1-way n the LTD deck.

I imagine it will be first pas the post for the voting - highest tally wins. It's the simplest way. Otherwise we'll end up with voting colleges, proxy polls and hanging chads all over the place.

I agree with sprouts on the consistency part. If A wins, all the court cards should be one-way. Though personally, I prefer two-way courts every time.

So you'd be happy with:

A vote total = 33%
B vote total = 33%
C vote total = 34%

Where a clear majority of SIXTY SIX PERCENT voted for ships and yet Female Queens is awarded the WIN with a solid MINORITY vote.

In other words 66% of the people PAYING for an LE Deck Design are getting something they clearly voted DOWN.

I know this goes against the flow but I voted for the standard Queen (C). While I love the tall ships I think that's another deck Jackson could unleash his passion on. Trying to shoehorn it into this deck on a court just doesn't make sense to me. An ace- yes- that would work because they are typically one-way.

Now throw them tamaters!

I voted C as well... I love the ships, but I would rather not see just the Queens as the only ships. Breaks the consistency of the court.

I'm currently in for a 2 of each but I may de-pledge. Quite expensive and I'm still a bit not happy about the Sherlock Holmes extra-limited editions. If I do decide to de-pledge I'll advise here first so someone from UC can hopefully jump in.

How is it "No purchase to win" if you have to be a backer?
(Outside of the obvious no purchase from YOU, but purchase from J-Rob.)

Perhaps there will be a SL33 ?

Anyway, this adding will make the funding curve less flattened ;-)

No, I see it too, and I'm on my laptop. I think Jackson took some from the L11 tier and moved it over to the SL22 tier.

Jackson Robinson annonced strech goals this morning (for me). Happy to see them.

But except for the two first strech goal, i think it would be hard to reach the following (the Limited Edition decks are near to be all sold).
