Wouldn't make sense to have only a few of a set being limited, so I wouldn't worry about it.

EDIT: 6pm PST just came and passed, so I guess that's not it.

Maybe they were referring to other stuff aside from the decks being limited.

The delay in the release is getting annoying and Ellusionist not responding to anything on Facebook is even more annoying.

Well looks like the drought of not buying from E will continue for a bit. I'll wait and see if they ever release just the decks alone.

Man, I am so torn. It's a nice box set and with the price of the second set of cards the total isn't really that bad but, I just don't do the collectible boxes. If I had gotten all of the nice boxes out there that have been offered by Uusi, Jackson Robinson, etc.. I would have a LOT less money to be able to spend on cards.

I'm torn as well... If I like the cards that's going to suck because they are so expensive. I can see how this marketing method works, but for the people that would actually like to use the cards in the real world, ie: Bartenders, it kind of sucks.

So I went in for the Box.
I have, unfortunately, gone in for the box thing in the past... and so now it is yet another collection.
The nice thing though is the second set for $40, shows up as a set for $125 in the cart with an $85 discount. What this means is you get $85 free towards the tier system.
Basically for $50 more you get to the $300 tier, which wasn't hard for me as I had been wanting to get some pressers and a couple other decks for a bit now.

Yes, you can get two sets for yourself for about $180 with shipping in the US, but i'm betting there's at least one person out there who doesn't want to spend that much, and might appreciate the bargain price on a single set with box...

Back to topic, the $125 + $40 is a clever sales tactic. It feels like you are getting a huge bargain but to be honest you are still paying $12 a deck (when you subtract the Box Value for $25).
Thats about double the price you pay for a brick of a Ellusionist deck.
For collectors of the Bicycle branded decks its a pity...they have to buy 6 or 12 decks instead of just the one they are looking for.

The tuck cases are all very beautiful designed! The cards however...i really love the faces of the 52 Proof,Absinthe and White Wolf Vodka.
The Rum back design is eye catching but the faces..i dislike...could have been more same for the moonshine faces.

Despite all those sales tactics and those extra goodies you are getting once you gave E your wallet,
those cards will costs us INT customers even more.

My head may be in the clouds but I'm going to hold out for a BF or CM sale. They might not even have one or if they do it might not have anything to do with this set. Hell, they might even be sold out of this by then so it's an even bigger risk. But I'm going to wait it out. The last thing I want to do is spend all this money now then find out a week later I could have got it for less.

Well that was disappointing. The box is cool and all, but I just want the cards. Especially that Rebellion Rum deck.

Not interested in the box at all but if anyone, in US or maybe Canada, is interested in selling the second set, I'd definitely work with you to come up with a fair price.

With 3000 boxed sets available, these won't be a quick sellout at this price + shipping cost. And since you can't buy the decks without getting the boxed set, the single decks should not disappear quickly either.

I know everyone is hoping for just the decks by themselves.

I've worked extremely hard on these decks for the past 6 months, I can't wait for everyone to get them! Sorry if you're not interested in the box, it's pretty cool though

PERFECT! To be clear, I think most of us ARE interested in the box, but just can't justify the premium price for it, which may be fair because it appears to be premium quality. Best set I've seen from you guys and I love the custom details on the courts and everything, box too. I will be picking up a few when they are made available individually later. Hopefully you'll also have a deal for buying all 6 together without the box?
