Re: TGW Presents "The Tale of the Tempest" designed by Lotrek LIVE on KS
The problem with custom decks by Lotrek is that their production is so complex, imperfections will happen. For example, some of the black spots I see happen to a greater or lesser extent on some of his decks I open. That said, some of the imperfections and smudges do seem to be more of a concern.
If you aren't happy, just email Lotrek and send him some photos. While it can be tough for him to respond to everyone, I know he really does try hard to make sure purchasers are happy. He also cares a ton about the quality of his decks. I hope you can appreciate the amount of scrapped cards he ends up producing to bring these decks to life. That is one reason these decks take so long and cost so much to produce.

Hi. That is definitely not ‘normal’. Send me an email to gentlemanwake@gmail.com and we will get it replaced. (The green sides is normal. That’s the stock.)laitostarr777 wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 10:23 am These are close up photos on my Dynastinae. There are bits of imperfection on the deck. Is this natural for any fancy decks made by Lotrek?

Are the cards meant to be green edge printed? Or that is the due to the green stock?

@laitostarr777
ok yeah that's more clear. ouch. Idk if anything can be done, but I'd definitely bring that to someone's attention. As for your question about imperfections with Lotrek's decks, that is almost never the case, definitely the exception rather than the rule. The one time I had such an issue, I found a smudge on the back of the 4 of diamonds in my Oath Standard G.o.B. and Lotrek sent me a replacement card right away. So get in touch.

Re: TGW Presents "The Tale of the Tempest" designed by Lotrek LIVE on KS
Well, since there were some observed issues, I decided to bite the bullet and fondle...err. I mean "inspect" my Dynastinae deck...
Holy freaking mother of creation! It is freaking awesome!
Okay, that reaction out of the way. I can see some micro holes in the gold foil in spots. Also, I notice some foil overprint where the foil sticks where I don't think it should stick. Nothing on my deck seems outragous or problematic. The foil overprint was a bit poor on my Ace of Spades TBH. However, that does lead me to guess that this really was a difficult deck to foil properly. And by "properly" I mean up to Lotrek's near insane level of perfection standards. When you compare what he puts out to a standard MetalLuxe deck...well, I am getting off point.
Expect a few very small holes in spots. There also may be some foil that obscures a few of the finer details. I put what I saw as better than Arabesque and not as good as Silk. I just put that up to the production challenge of applying foil on these specific cards. What you showed though was much more significant than I observed.
My overall opinion. Holy freaking mother of creation this is an amazing deck!
The power Ace of Hearts was a nice touch.

If you didn't get this deck. Do yourself a favor and get one when the extras go on sale.

Okay. I just opened Dynastinaynay, the golden Treasure deck, and the Wylenti.
Yeah, first of all, @laitostarr777, you got a bum deck. My deck has none of the kinds of imperfections you were highlighting. Omar is doing exactly the right thing by sending you a replacement. That said...
All three of these decks are uniquely awesome, and they each earn a treasured place in my collection.
(None of them are The Perfect Deck, but the good far outweighs the bad in each case. More on that later, if anyone is interested.)
Looking forward to opening the Midnight and other editions soon. For now, back to work....

I've sent the email containing these photos and marked all the imperfections - I also CC Lotrek so he can also see these problems.TheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Tue Feb 15, 2022 12:50 pm Hi. Green stock has green edges, no edge printing needed.

@TheGentlemanWake if you don't mind me asking, what is the point of adding already sold out items to the shop? Is it also meant to serve as a historical register of TGW products?

Yes, as an archival register. However, I may eventually remove sold out items. The Parlour coin sold out today. Richard Arturo is taking some pics of the Prism as well, and those may go up. But it's up for debate. I do find that it helps to have old products for SEO purposes. As search engines will pick up the terms. Not as important with Parlour and Dynastinae since both those terms show up a bunch, but Prism hasn't for instance.PiazzaDelivery wrote: ↑Fri Feb 18, 2022 5:41 pm @TheGentlemanWake if you don't mind me asking, what is the point of adding already sold out items to the shop? Yeah I've got in touch with Deallez ~3 weeks ago who basically said "wait for your postal service it's probably stuck at customs." Stuff that was sent after this is now arriving. If I'm none the wiser come Friday I'll definitely shoot you an email TGW.TheGentlemanWake wrote: ↑Sat Feb 19, 2022 3:36 pm So sorry to read that. I’m prepared to do whatever it takes. Yeah I got the email, thanks. I've honest to God just checked the tracking number on the first set and it's cleared Customs in Sydney 3 hours ago. It's a long weekend here so should be here by the end of next week. Second set, no updates (but less worried about it now).
Thanks for doing the extra legwork here TGW, it's appreciated.
