Dear friends, we at Passione are working at Liberty: a project in collaboration with John Cho, Korean designer and magician.
it will be a set of two decks, one marked and one not.
It will have "standard" faces (actually they have been redesigned and they will be a Passione standard) I hope you'll like it

I like those faces but I would like more pictures
Back design is also nice, as is the Ace.

Of course, more images to come

the project is almost ready but the communication department in Passione (AKA: Elettra Deganello) carefully decides what to publish. She often scolds me for doing things on my own

I like what I see so far.
I enjoy a good "standard" deck, and based upon what I see so far, this one looks to be one of the far superior examples of a such a deck.
I have a friend who cures his own bacon. Every time he does a batch, he prepares a bunch of "whiskey bbq" and "sweet maple" and the like, but he also always does a batch of simply straightforward, gently-smoked (and no other flavor added) bacon. He recommends you try that one first, because the proof is in the basics. "If you can be trusted to nail the basics, you know all those fancy flavors are built upon the fundamentals." His bacon is the best I've ever had.
I see a tease like this, and I'm like: if the rest of the deck looks this good, I know I'm in good hands.

This looks pretty good.
Only problem I see is the possible confusion with the Liberty (brand name) decks that Gambler's/JR did.

oooh that's a bummer. Weird thing: I'm also a backer but I totally forgot that deck. I'm also sure that John Cho didn't wanted to copy.
Thank you for bringing that to my attention.

I like these, but my wallet needs a break post-Lotrek and the fifth Planets deck. I'll back these on the understanding that you begin funding next month.

Yes, this is an option, but I don't take those things lightly as I value the most the relationships in the community, so... I will analyze that in depth. Thank you for helping!

Ok we had to step back, rethink the concept and now we're back on track. The project is composed by two decks: Equality and Justice. Here you can find A "stolen image" my social media manager don't want me to show of the tuck case prototypes.

I like the simplicity of the front of tuck- very neat and classy! I think some embossing would really make it awesome. I notice you found a way to make the word "equality" an ambigram on the back. Are you doing the same with "justice"? Also, did I miss it or do you know who's printing these? (please be USPCC, please be USPCC...)

I suggest a mod, amateur or otherwise, change the name of the thread now.

It appears the design incorporating the scales of justice and the blinded Lady Justice is appropriate for the Justice deck, but it seems inconsistent for use in the Equality deck.

It will be USPCC. Thank you for the kind words.
Yes they are both ambigrams on the back, but on the box we wanted to have it more clear. As for the tuck case it will be simple, just like bikes, but we could also have a collector edition (not marked)

There is a concept behind, the two “lady of Justice” differs to represent the two complementary concepts

I'm sorry, I just don't see the relationship. Perhaps there will be other details in the deck to support what your suggesting, but just from the back designs the concepts don't make sense. You have Lady Justice in her classic pose (blindfolded, scales raised above her head, sword held in lowered arm) on the Equality deck, not the Justice deck. That classic pose is always associated with Justice, therefor more appropriate on the Justice deck. Why would Lady
Justice even be on the Equality deck anyways? The only differences in the poses between the two "ladies of Justice" is which arm is raised, with either the scales or the sword.
For arguments sake, let's just say you're equating the scales for Equality and the sword for Justice, so that's simply the reason why the raised scales is on the Equality deck and the raised sword is on the Justice deck. That would be a mis-interpretation of the symbolism of Lady Justice. The scales do not represent equality, they represent the consideration/weighing of judgement. The sword does not represent justice, it represents the power and authority of law. And the blindfold obviously represents impartial neutrality. All these symbols collectively represent Justice. Not Equality.
Equality and Justice are not complementary concepts, by the way. In fact, they are actually antithetical. Equality would make Justice obsolete. Justice only exists to address
inequality. So if there is no inequality, or only equality, there is no need for justice.
Look, I realize I'm nitpicking here. But as an attorney who actually has a statue of Lady Justice in my office and are governed by these concepts every time I'm in the courtroom, these inconsistencies are more glaring to me. Most other people probably won't notice or care about any of this, so take my comments with a grain of salt.

I agree with sinjin7 with regard to the symbolism. The cards representation do not correctly use the symbolism at least in context as used in the United States. It is the blindfold that represents impartiality and all of the symbols together that represent Justice (again as the United States has interpreted these symbols).
Equality might better be represented by one or more of the great civil rights activists of recent times like Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King and Cesar Chavez among others.
I do like the idea of a Equality and Justice themed playing cards. Although in the context of a fierce game of cards, which might involve a lot of bluffing...

I don't think changing lady justice to a rights activist is the way to go, as lady justice isn't a real person and in the interest of consistency neither should the figure on the Equality deck. Also, I strongly disagree that they aren't complementary concepts. You can't have (or maintain) Equality without the use of Justice, and you can't have Justice (or the use of justice) without striving for Equality, they can't exist without eachother.
That's about as complementary as it gets this side of ying and yang! I do agree that the classic pose should absolutely be used on the Justice deck of course, that just makes sense.
I have no idea on what figure could otherwise be used for the Equality deck, but according to google it should be Lady Liberty. I'm not from the US, so does that make sense? When I punched 'lady justice lady liberty' into images this is what I got:

I mean, that looks like a strong argument to me!
