Greetings from Switzerland

Hi All,

I'm NinthAquila (Ninth to those that know me).
I'm 24yo, currently studying medicine in Switzerland, and spending most of my spare time with reading, playing cards (and collecting them  )
I am a semi-professional fencer, and regularly run (slaving away for hours on end in uni seats isn't exactly good for your health).

I've been playing card games for as long as I can remember, with all kinds of games, from simple games like "War" and "Poker" to "Egyptian Ratscrew" or even "Cribbage" (for some reason it is rather difficult to find people who enjoy this game). I can also do some simple magic tricks and cardistry moves.

Despite this, I've only recently (spring of this year) started collecting playing cards. I've found myself that I prefer those that have an intricate tuckbox and/or back, and I dislike most "simple" designs. So far, the Theory11 and Thirdway Industries brands have been two that I've enjoyed particularly. Collecting isn't the easiest when most larger brands ship from the US (both shipping and import costs can get out of hand), and retailers in the EU often charge a hefty premium.

If you might have any other questions, feel free to ask, I will gladly answer them :)

Cheers,

Ninth

Oh yah, the Eidgenossen are pretty strict about that. I don’t speak Swiss German by the way, but a family member worked some years in Zürich, so I know a thing or two about these little Alp-fellows  ;) .
