2020 NPCCD Hindsight Edition

Hi guys,

I received a lot of messages inquiring if there would be a 2020 NPCCD deck this year. I wanted to confirm yes there will be and figured I'd just start the thread here.
I think there is a slot for mini presentations Thursday based on the schedule in which I can pop something in for it to be revealed for streaming the convention.
Official pre-order for the cards will be Saturday October 17th. I'll start pumping more pictures out after the official reveal Thursday.

Every year the latest NPCCD deck always becomes my new favorite deck I've created, and this year is no different. The 2020 NPCCD deck is one that I found a lot of solace in making as response to this year. The deck is solid on both fronts so that both tuck box and court card enthusiasts will enjoy. I hope to see you guys for the pre-order sale this Saturday :)

Great news!!

Can we know how many decks will be this time?? Fingers crossed for just one, but given the NPCCD decks' history my hopes are really low..

Oh boy! I'm really hoping to not need a science degree to figure out what decks are being sold this year.

I loved last years decks, but I am still not sure which ones I have.

I can't wait for this year's release. It is a highlight of my year as you always pack so much craftsmanship into these decks. I don't have much room for deck display, but I have my 2017, 2018 and 2019 NPCCD decks all on display. That is more different decks on display than any other creator. James001a, there were six main decks issued last year, with one more that was a Convention only release and two other versions that were released as part of the special sale Alex had late last year. I think you can consider the six deck set complete, but nine decks if you want to be Uber-complete.

I can only hope that the courts this year are practicing appropriate hygiene and wearing face masks and follow social distancing.

There are 5 decks for the 5th anniversary each one representing a different spirit. A special 6th deck will only be available with the full set. Set numbers will be made to match meaning if you get a 6-deck set you'll also get lower numbers (if that interests you).

lol I promise it's a more straightforward offering this year. There is no internal/external matrix to track like last year and of the 6 decks, 4 of them are actually completely different print runs to help make more clear as well.
But I mean if we're going for authenticity here, if it wasn't just a little bit confusing it wouldn't be a real NPCCD deck launch would it?

So, looking forward to these! I have held off on backing some KS campaigns so that I won't feel so guilty when I go crazy with these.

Bradius, I think you are referring to the 52+ joker club deck (which is planned to be announced today), this is for the NPCCD deck on the 17th?

Just buy 1 then your problem is solved. Pretend the other editions don't even exist, smile with a feeling of joy as you got one. No down side at all. For other folks who enjoy a multitude of decks with choice and variety, they can buy the sets. It all works out.

Lel. Same thought. Just grab one - done.
It's hard to get rid of FOMO though I guess.

Thanks for posting this Alex!

It looks outstanding, and once again you are pushing the envelope of innovative tuck design, along with thoughtful content. Bravo!

Another amazing deck. I think the tuck borders on almost being a bit gimmicky, I fear it would be somewhat inconvenient to get the cards in and out easily. However I will reserve judgement until I have them in hand. Definitely innovative, though. The cards themselves are spectacular, and I love the court cards and theme. Very clever with the title of the deck as well. Alex is a perennial DOTY Best Deck contender.

The pre-order starts this Saturday at 9pm EDT after the convention ends. I wouldn't wait too long to order as there are only 666 sets and I expect them to go fast!
