So this will be four new versions? How many total Butterfly releases are there now??

Are these borderless ones limited like the bordered ones?

Let's hope not. I'm too old to waste my time waiting in front of my phone or pc just to be allowed to buy a product.

Really hope they're not limited to only 1k compared to last yr's release. If anything, this should be in Ondrej's regular lineup. If not the V4, then at least the premium edition.

Here is the magical Spring - 6000 decks printed.

I believe the marked prototypes will be available on the 5th - limited to 100 decks each and probably fairly pricey

6000 printed? That's good news.

Do we know if it's just Spring being released on the 8th or all four decks? And is it 6000 of each deck or combined for all four?

Okay, interesting concept. Wonder what the criteria he used to decide how many of each deck to print.

Hope the larger print run means the decks will be a bit cheaper.

I doubt they will be significantly cheaper because Butterfly playing cards never were cheap.

Was anything announced today?

I never saw it - not sure - best guess is the may 5 date was wrong and the prototypes will be there on the 8th - but I cant find much mention of it on his instagram (too many posts to be sure - you may want to crawl though his feed and see if you can spot something)

Okay, so that was rather disappointing. Moving on, let's see how much the new borderless series is priced at.

Cost is honestly the main reason I don't have more of these decks

As far as marked decks go, they are in a class of their own - not all things for all people as they are not as easy to read (as many), or as easy to read at a distance (dmc/blaine lions) as other options - but they do things no others can do

There are some other edgy, marked decks, but I don’t believe they are as complete as butterflies

The announcement is quite cool for us in the EU since Ondrej ships from the Czech Republic. No customs for us. Although I doubt that there will be any competitive prices compared to the shops already selling AoP stuff in Europe.

$70.32 + shipping for four - but yeah - pricy shipping, so about $90 bucks

Penguin might get them - will have to ask… (email sent) - fingers crossed that they will get back to me before they go up for sale, but its a real horse race

I’ll be going for a brick (likely two though I may not get them both right away) and doing my best to hit his free shipping mark (250 euro) - a brick for 200 + another 50 saves 30 bucks in shipping

I picked mine up, went for a brick + three singles to meet free shipping. Took me a few go rounds to figure out what I wanted, when I finally made my purchase I ended up getting three order confirmations which included two of the carts I decided not to get - a quick email to them and they cancelled the extra orders in a jiffy - so don’t panic if it happens to you

(The two erroneous orders were never billed, just order confirm emails)

Ye it's kind of a broken checkout. First you place order, then get an email, then they direct you to pay. Not sure if that's intended or just broken
