Lonely Jokers Signature Deck by Todd @ Lonely Jokers

Hello Everyone,
After the failure to fund my second deck on Kickstarter, I've decided to step away from the 3D process that I used to develop my first two decks, and focus on a more traditional 2D, line art design. I'm focusing on my studio name, and I'm treating this deck as something of a studio signature deck.
For me, Lonely Jokers are those of us who aren't always comfortable in the spotlight, but when it hits us, we shine. Sometimes, our talents are intriguing to others, and sometimes we're just plain odd ducks to the audience, but we always have a sense of humor and wonder about us.
I'm choosing to focus my court cards on the lonely jokers of the vaudeville, carnival side-show, and circus characters about whom I was told while in my childhood. These masters of illusion, dexterity, and showmanship were always the source of excitement for me on trips to the circus, and I'm having a great time adding them to my deck as I get reacquainted with Adobe Illustrator.
I'm very open to hearing your opinions, feedback, and constructive criticisms, so please feel free to share!

LONELY JOKERS SIGNATURE DECK
When I developed the Lonely Jokers logo, I intentionally developed new pips that could be used on my future decks, and it seems only appropriate to use them on a studio deck. Here are the nines to give you an idea of the general look of the pips and indices.
For the backs, I wanted a design that would really look flashy for fans and cardistry, so I again used the pip designs and put together a back that creates movement and depth with color and line work.
For the court cards, I have selected twelve of my favorite performer types and have begun to "flesh them out". So far, I have the Diamonds and Clubs ready for review -- I'll add the others here as I complete them.
I'm very curious to hear your thoughts so far! This is such a fun exercise, and I'm hoping that others enjoy the colors, designs, and characters as much as I am!
