There's two designers named Alex plus two Gandalf usernames.
It appears to be a pre-order available for 77 hours. Alex mentioned this is a release that isn't like what's been done previously. It might appear that he is doing it in a way where everyone has an opportunity to get one within that time frame. I'll ask him on instagram and circle back if he responds.
I meant $70 for one deck.Cardians wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 3:12 pm 2021 NPCCD Deck or Decks?
Sounds like 1-deck will be rewarded on this years complete set order.
If it’s anything like the past couple years, any set from 4-6 decks isn’t going to be anywhere near $70 mark for the set. Probably more on the $200+ side to cover the cost associated with printing a one off deck for 2021 NPCCD.
Def gonna have to think about this one…
If that's the case, I won't be ordering. That's much more than I find reasonable for a single deck of cards. Especially so when ordering blind.vasta41 wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 4:04 pmI meant $70 for one deck.Cardians wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 3:12 pm 2021 NPCCD Deck or Decks?

I REALLY hope 2021 is just one deck, and not like 2017 where buying a full set gets you one random deck out of a bunch.
Alex said he's considering to make a Standard version of 2021 and release it in November if the tuck is to too trouble to make.kevork wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 5:20 pm Alex mentioned he would show the gilding and information about the sets but no images of the cards. First Lotrek, then Gio, and now Alex trying out this "mystery/blind" ordeal. I applaud Alex for always trying something new and thinking outside the tuck (box), I hope he can create an option next year that is catered more to the masses so that no one feels left out.
I am more in it for the collector aspect as well as the presentation. I haven't been all too impressed by Alex's court card style, but his presentation and ability to create a collection set is truly stunning. I have acquired the base decks of each year, and despite them being tucked away in boxes right now due to a lack of shelf space, I do anticipate they will have their own section and highlight the presentation he has envisioned once I can display them.
I REALLY hope 2021 is just one deck, and not like 2017 where buying a full set gets you one random deck out of a bunch.

Hey guys,
It’s Alex from Seasons, P52, and creator of National Playing Card Collection Day. NPCCD is fast approaching and a lot of collectors have been asking about what’s in store for this year especially since there were some changes last year. This post isn’t quite an AMA, but rather a catch all FAQ to hopefully clarify what I hope to see going forward with each territory as well as the specifics of this year’s NPCCD release since I’ve received a TON of questions on other platforms.
NPCCD: The beloved NPCCD series will continue on this year and also try to make up for last year. This year’s series theme is Blind Tiger and true to it’s name will be a BLIND PREORDER. *Cue groans*. It’ll launch Monday Oct 17th at 7am CDT for 77 hours on the normal NPCCD site. The sales format will be the same with singles, (gilded and ungilded) as well as the option for a full set. Like previous years, full set orders will get a bonus gift. That gift this year will be the lost 2021 NPCCD deck.
There will most likely only be 2 editions of the 2021, a special edition (only given to those that buy a set) and a standard that I can sell later to calm any completionists. I say most likely because if the logistics are a pain, I’m realistically not going to want to deal with the headache and just keep the 1 variation. I’ve passed this idea around to see feedback and the idea of getting a 2oofer order for this year got a lot of thumbs up so I’m sticking with it. Shipping will be in February.
P52 Decks: The P52 decks will be their own fun line to look forward to every year with collaborative artists. It won’t disappear and won’t be replacing NPCCD. Here is where another artist is put into spotlight and P52 wears the hat as a producer in the project. A store for these decks (like last year’s OddFellows) will hopefully be up on P52 this November to start generating some sort of revenue for the site.
Donations: In general it’s been NPCCD sales that fund and keep P52 running free of charge. By introducing this new P52 line I’m hoping to eventually get to a point where P52 deck sales help keep the site running. That currently isn’t the case yet but is my goal. Keeping the site running isn’t too costly, but rather keeping a developer on retainer.
P52 Builds: Theres been a lot of bugs and builds but finally getting a reliable developer on retainer has been a lot of help for small bugs here and there for immediate fixes. Login for both FB and email are finally back as of Sept. There are a lot of new builds set up for the site in the upcoming months in anticipation of the DOTYs and really common requests for deck pages like introducing collections to manage variants and signatures on the same page that I hope will work well for people.
Timing: It’s been unfortunate timing to have so many releases stacked into Oct. It’s my goal to eventually shift the P52 deck launch to a Spring slot, maybe even in association with DOTY announcements and making it a thing. Spring always feels dead and I think it’d be a fun way to also disperse all the releases. I recognize a lot of the overlapping timing of the releases of NPCCD and P52 and 52J launches may have caused some of this confusion.
TLDR: This is secretly an ad for Blind Tiger but I framed it like an FAQ because I’m within the 10 day window.
As a side note I just wanted to personally thank all of you for your personal interest in the continuation of my art and the NPCCD series. My absence from the community was temporary and unfortunate, but I am glad to finally be back doing what I love and making things for people to enjoy.
Best,
-Alex
From everything I have seen you don’t need to be up early but there hasn’t been a definitive answer.
So he'll be making as many as are ordered in the allotted time frame. Due to there being a short notice and it being a blind order, he estimates a print run of about 700, with the numbering corresponding to the 7th annual release. If I had to guess, even if he doesn't hit 700, he'll print that many and then sell the excess stock on his website or wholesale to retailers like he's done in the past.
Is it more or less likely that 700~ decks will be produced? Cause I'm hoping to get a glimpse of the decks before committing beforehand. I'm fairly new to collecting and not sure if the Unbroken decks were blind orders like this round, but if they were, it would definitely compel me to get a set. Also I read in the description that every set will be different too like the Unbroken series? Anybody could help a fellow out with these queries? Thanks in advance.kevork wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 1:55 pm

This implies we don't need to be up bright and early to place an order.
The decks in the collection are different. Every set will be the same but numbered. Sorry if I misconstrued the description. Where did you read that had you think along those lines?krystalie wrote: ↑Mon Oct 17, 2022 8:29 am
