Extinct Animals Playing Cards by T11 x moooi
Not sure what this is but it looks like something different from T11. And good. I'll change the thread title when we know the name of the deck.

Re: New T11 Deck (Placeholder)
I guess it ties in to last year's art deck they did - forgot the name. Seems like TXI continues to dabble into AoP artsy themed decks. Let's hope for people who decide to pick it up it doesn't has repeating courts like the aforementioned one.

What's the reason behind no support? I like this collaboration. Reminds me of UUSI with Hyde Park Mouldings.STLBluesNut wrote: βMon Feb 20, 2023 9:13 am looks like quite a departure for t11. still on the do not support list though.

Re: A Life Extraordinary Playing Cards by T11 x moooi
Not sure how I missed that thread nor why I just read through it all. That was ugly and disappointing. Gandalf and others handled that really well though.
On topic, this is the most intriguing looking deck I've seen from T11 in a long while. Really curious to see more of it. I wonder what motivated such a shift from what they've been putting out.

Re: A Life Extraordinary Playing Cards by T11 x moooi
my guess would be money as it is for most companies. T11 seems to have turned into a collaboration card company. using other popular IPs and their wide reach and low prices to sell more decks. i will take having companies like that putting together decks like this over lazy cash grab companies like some. at least they generally have gorgeous tucks.Adamthinks wrote: βTue Feb 21, 2023 1:16 am I wonder what motivated such a shift from what they've been putting out.

Wow, T11 finally draws non-monochromatic courts and charges everyone extra for it. Tsk tsk
I certainly won't be getting these at that price.

Thanks but $20 no thanks. Not that I would have picked them up at $10 either.

I would've loved to get two of these but I'm in agreement with others. Not for $20, especially for an unfoiled deck.

From the product page and from their Instagram posts: "The back of each card features stunning, luxurious gold foil that breathes new life to each extinct animal featured within"
They are foiled, which explains the higher price point

My mistake. Still not enough to justify $20 though.

Call me a sucker but I bought some. My pain threshold for pricing has definitely risen lately. I have recently bought some decks on Ebay for a price that a year or two ago I would not have considered.

Not a sucker at all - would have liked to have gotten them but the cost of the cards + the cost of expanding the house to hold more cards would be too much - last year they would have already been in the post on the way to me

Re: Extinct Animals Playing Cards by T11 x moooi
My concern is this $20 price is a test to see if collectors are willing to spend that much on a deck. With inflation everywhere, it wouldn't surprise me if all their future decks are $20.

It's not like we haven't seen this trend already. Most KS decks are starting at $16-$25.

Re: Extinct Animals Playing Cards by T11 x moooi
i think part of the problem may be that t11 is known for having much lower prices that other comparable decks. so the increase to ''standard'' pricing is off putting. they used to be a value. not so much if charging the same as everyone else.
a fitting quote from you above ''Not that I would have picked them up at $10 either.''

Re: Extinct Animals Playing Cards by T11 x moooi
You pay ~$0.50 per deck more for foiling at Legends... maybe $1 with the recent price increases. So I'll adjust my above quoted statement:
Not that I would have picked these up at $10 either - even foiled and gilded.
