I was so excited to get my first Charmie decks on the last campaign, especially Eye of the Kukulkan. When I had them in hand I realized how they were not too shiny and cards are thick and plastic like. They cost me around 25$ each and so I expected more. Unless a theme really gets my attention, I'm done with Herman and the cat. Unrealistic renders compared to the real thing imo and I am skeptical about the capabilities of the heat sensitive ink.

All valid criticisms JB, however my experience was different. I did the E of K kickstarter and was blown away by how great everything looked and how much I received for the money I pledged. I admire Charmie Dreams the Cat because their designs are always balls-to-the-wall whether I dig them or not and they always put together unique pieces to go with the decks. HOWEVER, since Eye of the Kukulkan I haven't dug any of the designs personally. Like JB I'm curious to see if the heat sensitive inks delivers on its promise.

I dont have any of this producers cards, the look good enough but the feedback makes me feel like I need to get a single deck from someone before this ends.

To be clear, the decks are far from horrible. I am overall happy with the few I have. I have my criticisms and disappointments that will keep me from further purchases but the style is uniquely different from other producers and adds diversity to my collection. With each Charmie project being so similar in design and format, the few I have are enough to have a good feel for the brand and round out my collection. Herman seems to be a genuinely good guy. All the power to him. Cats are cool too.
P.s. Kevork please change Charlie to Charmie if possible

People are dying but hey, buy my cards and let's have a better year, is sort of how I see it. It is not necessary and slightly insulting to manipulate sales with these talking points.

But Adam, I am not going to know it is BS patter until I read a couple of sentences and of course that applies to each paragraph as a new paragraph is meant to start a new idea or point

I suppose I was a bit cranky this morning but decided to highlight how I believe a KS intro should not be done.

Not a fan of these decks or theme tbh, Liked Morpheus a lot better but still not sure they are decks I need to pick up.
