Hello everyone,
I’m maiathoustra (maia for short and less snobbish). I’ve been lurking in the playing cards community since the start of the year.
I got interested in cards after buying a deck at 11PM in the USA with my partner, as we wanted to play a simple game. I was very impressed at the time by that air cushion technology (shuffled so well!), and the deck seemed luxurious, shiny and pretty. It was the Marquis Bicycle deck, for the record.
It was also interesting to see that they were larger and only had two indices, and no court names, compared to the bridge size I’m used to in France.
Anyway, fast forward to today. I’m an illustrator drawing furry characters / animal people and I thought it would be neat to design my own deck, featuring anthro animals in lofi vibes.
I already got great input about the art over the playing cards subreddit. I’m posting now on UC to gather the maximum information to hopefully launch my campaign in a smooth way…
