Not exactly official, but they're nice. We'll see if it makes it past any potential legal roadblocks.

Well, that was just a matter of time. Rats.

"Hello,

This is a message from Kickstarter’s Trust and Safety team. We're writing to inform you that a project you backed, Poké Playing Cards: A New Era of Collectible Art, is the subject of an intellectual property dispute.

The project has been removed from public view pending dispute resolution."

Yep, lol. I'm sure Nintendo's lawyers just have bots scouring the web for IP matches. This project is as good as dead.

Well, the creator had taken down the campaign, but contacted the backers to let them know they could purchase the reward tiers directly from their site. I picked up a deck, and it arrived today.

Overall I’m pretty satisfied. The foiling and design on the tuck case is nice, but the quality of the construction is just OK. Between the small area to grip the outer flap and the tight inner flaps it’s very difficult to open. That was solved by snipping a bit off the front of the inner flaps. The tuck came with a scuff mark on the front and a few minor dings, could be from shipping in a padded envelope instead of a box.

The cards themselves are really nice. Very colorful, aligned well and have a nice smooth feel. The stock is solid, and I can’t speak to how they’d handle for cardists, but they work fine for shuffling and play (takes a little effort to faro - I don’t think they’re traditionally cut).
