<<LURK MODE DISENGAGE>>
Ah thats better it's good to be back amongst the good people of UC. I've started another custom deck with Gambler's Warehouse and have finally gotten approval from Eddie to give you guys the sneak preview.

I'd really like to show you guys a little more but there's a few of the courts and the Ace of Spades so you should be able to get some idea. Thanks for checking it out and let me know what you think.

I like them, Jonny! There are a couple of things that come to mind, but that's why we love to see them before the artwork is "committed". Definitely a new member of the family.

Hey Jonny ! Great to see you back ! ok heres my take, your courts are aligned with the top of your indices, however the sides extend beyond the indices, perhaps reign them in a little and align the sides as well, it feels like its stretching out a little too much to the edge. We wanna see the back design !

Personally, I'd rather see the indices get smaller and put closer to the edge, in line with the sides of the court. The faces wants thin borders too! :ugdance:

Haha of course ive seen that ! But he has the little background oval that houses the indices, that is already at the edge of the card, might cause minor problems. Maybe its possible to rework that portion a little?

Oh yeah, didn't really notice those. Which is why I wouldn't mind removing them altogether, only seems to limit things

It would make it more aesthetically pleasing to the eye. Right now it looks like it is stretched horizontally. The court cards do look great. Can't wait to see more!! :D

Looking good! But yeah what they said. Push the indices further and align the sides.

As always its so awesome to bring stuff here and get your great opinions on it I really think nearly all of the input is so great and I'll be implementing most of it. Volantangel is helping me a few of the finer tweaks so special shout out to him but all of the points you have are great.

So I will be dropping the background and adjust the tops to match the sides so they are closer to the edges by moving out the indicies and removing the background oval containers (Thanks Magik!) that originally held the letter of the court. I've mocked a few up and I'm really happy with them so far and will post them shortly once I tweak them a bit more.

Just waiting on Fast Eddie to tell me what I can show at this point but I expect to have more on here shortly thanks for peeking and helping me make these better!

@Jonnypowpow - I see what your trying to do. Making the indices bigger to get rid of the suit indicator. That is a good size. Removing the "background oval containers" is a good idea. You can then move the indices closer to the cut border. I see you don't have a border for your courts. Usually traditional themed decks have a border. Maybe you could change the oval containers or index badge into something like a ghost border. It goes half way. And Yes you can go a bit further on your courts to make thinner borders.

On the top left side, You could put the same ghost border or a smaller index for left handed people. :D

Would love to hear your cracker jack theories about this version. Thanks champs!

@Jonnypowpow - Well, I spy with my little eye your Queen is a bit off. The indices can go a little further to the left like your King and Jack. Other then that it looks pretty good. MagikFingerz should be pretty happy with the thiner border for the courts. Is it me or are the indices a bit smaller? You have to remember you need to see these guys at ta distance you got rid of the suit indicator. I like the Jacks they actually have a weapon instead of some bludgeoning instrument that has loss its detail over time in the Bicycle 808 series.

The court faces look familiar. Are they based off another design? I know I've seen them somewhere but I can't quite put my finger on it.

Just the standard english courts deck. I wanted to make an expanded deck of courts with a really classical familiar feel to them so to hear you say that is a good thing to me!

Maybe you should make a limited edition version with a real gem stuck on the tuck. :)

What is everyone's feeling about having traditionally colored indicies?
Like black and red vs having colored versions of them?

I know most card players want the traditional red and black does it bother you guys to have different colored pips or indicies?

Jonny, have you considered having a four-coloured deck ?

Re: Regal

by MagikFingerz
It all depends on the colors and the theme, it either works or it doesn't (still subject to opinion, of course). And from that photo posted, I'd actually rather have 4 new colors than one of the suits being black. Consistency is key.

Well I really just came here for Ronny James Dio's approval so anything you guys have to add now is just filler but let's go ahead anyways but thanks Ronny ride that tiger.

Well my original plan was to have four decks.
Royal Blue, Purple, Red and Green with corresponding colors of the hearts and diamonds accordingly as well as the clubs and spades in traditional black.

But now I'm thinking of having one multicolored court and red diamonds and hearts and black clubs and spades.

Looks like you should have switched the 2. I have to admit. Some Color and Black is a good color switch. It works.

The two pics are completely separate.
The weren't built together with the intention of showing next to each other but I wanted to get people's opinion on the colored pips.

@Jonny - no worries. I like catching stuff like that. I just wish I could catch it on my own...

Looks like this is coming soon from Cutthroatcards, creators of the Occults and Double Black. 4 colors from what i've seen. They are giving away 50 prototypes on their instagram soon.

I really liked Occults. One of my favorite sets of decks from 2014. Are these being printed by EPCC/LPCC, or USPCC? I'd like to see more, but I'm thinking I'll likely be in for these.
