Dear friends, as already appeared on maxplayingcards we are working on a fantasy themed deck, the artists involved are: Federico Bollo (illustrations), Maurizio Toccafondi (coloring) and Jari Di Benedetto (calligraphy work).

We have a teaser of the looks, I'm happy to share it with you.

The aces look great! I'm not really in to the fantasy theme (orcs and stuff) but I'll be watching this.

Interesting. Are you still working on the Dante's Inferno deck as well?

"Teliad" is an elven word.... Looking awesome, Riccardo! (and yes, the first installment of the Dante trilogy is headed our way - "Inferno").

Yes, of course! Anyway, do not hold your breath it will not be ready before the end of this year...

It's a decoration that will characterize all of the courts of the same suit. It will enclose the suit itself, in the loop (sorry for the bad description :D )

You are right Mike! Inferno (or Hell - still in doubt about the name to use...) will be the first of a trilogy. Don't know, honestly, how many of you know Dante Alighieri... he is considered the father of the italian language and has written a very famous poem (at least in Italy).

Damn, now you've got me excited for the Divine Comedy trilogy decks. I read the Divine Comedy in my teens and I own a large hardcover book of the poem with all the gorgeous Gustave Doré illustrations.

The aces on this fantasy deck are pretty awesome!

These days in our global community, I think you should stick with "inferno". Dante's Hell sounds strange even to 'Merikuns, I think. "Paradiso" - same thing, although I have to admit the Italian equivalent of purgatory made me think, for a second. As always "your mileage may vary".

If we got through 12th grade and out of "High School" without knowing, surely you were aware by college! I suppose the fact that he had a surname might have escaped us when we were in school because it was always simply "Dante's Inferno".

Exactly what Mike said. We were only introduced to him though. So I don't really know the details about his works but his name and work is a familiar name even in the Philippines. Do you happen to have any pictures on the Divine Comedy deck? Or is the Teliad deck going to be released first?

I just finished reading Dan Brown's latest book; Inferno, I'm sure you can guess what it's based on from the title. And not too long ago there was even a video game based on Dante's trip through hell.

So yeah, I think a lot of people have at least some knowledge of Dante.

Sure. Joe Dante directed the movie Gremlins.

Definitely keep the Italian titles.

I can also envision a triple deck pack in the style of an old manuscript with "La commedia divina" (or just "La commedia") in nice Gothic script emblazoned on the front :)

There has been an Inferno deck before.

The art in it was great, fulfilment not so much (though I did get mine)

Yes I know the old "inferno" deck - not my kind, but I know it. As for the trilogy we have bold ideas in our mind :) But I'm going to open a new thread :)

Teliad is going to be released much before Dante's Inferno... Our current plans are to release Inferno at the end of the year.

After quite a while, Riccardo has released the first tease of Teliad in an update for Love is a Smoke...

First tease of the coming Teliad calligraphy themed decks coming from Passione Team in Italy. We expect this project will launch on Kickstarter around the end of February, and I will have more details as we get closer to that date. I have been closely watching the development of this project, and can't wait to share more of the graphics and details of the designs, so keep your eyes open for another update coming soon! This is going to be an awesome deck, folks. Riccardo Conturbia and his team of artists has put together a beautiful and diverse follow-up to their first "Love is a Smoke" deck. As soon as he let's me know that I can share some of the artwork I have seen, you'll be the first to know!

For now, a glimpse at the back:

Stay tuned for more soon, you don't want to miss these!

Try to keep that, I've heard scorpion tail, small as possible. You want your index as far as possible on the top left... Make sure your suit indicator is at least 51% of the suit. I guess red in this case. I'm having trouble seeing where you can fit the suit indicator...

In that case I take it back- I'm sure the only thing I won't like is the price hehe Unavoidable and worth it, I'm assuming.
