LUXX Palme by Rick Davidson @ JP

Just saw this in the JP Playing Cards newsletter and didn't see a thread for it yet:
We are excited and proud to announce that the second deck in our LUXX® range is currently in the proofing stage. Once again we feel pretty lucky to be working with such a highly regarded and phenomenally talented card designer, this time it's Rick Davidson! (Designer of the Origins decks)
Inspired by the popular Paisley pattern, Palme is likely to be available towards the end of the summer. We will again be taking pre-orders and giving a little extra to those that choose to do so!

Judging from that one photo only, it looks amazing. JP is going to hit another homerun with this. I hope we will see more soon.

Let's remember, Paul told us Luxx would be his staple brand of premium poker cards, and IMHBUCO he couldn't have picked a better artist to follow Randy Butterfield who did the original and shadow edition that was just shipped.

Rick did a beautiful job with these! I was surprised and honored a couple months ago when Paul asked if it was cool to use the LUXX brand with Rick's new JP Decks. I thought it was a great idea! Hopefully the LUXX brand will epitomize luxury Playing Cards for many, many years.

Thanks for the positive words folks. I have a lot of respect for Rick, his attitude to his work and ability to take my initial concept and theme and turn it into something even better than I'd envisaged - much in the same way Randy did.
We will be showing some cards in our weekly newsletters (that typically go out every Friday). An early estimate for a very approximate pre-order window is Friday 28th August.
Ive made no secret of the fact that from day one I wanted LUXX to be more than just a one-time / one design release, and we think with th overall concept for the brand we are looking to achieve there is room for others too.
We owe a lot to Rick and (especially) Randy for establishing this as a brand with a growing identity rather than just a single release.

As Paul mentions, they are planning to open up pre-orders in late August (tentatively the 28th) at which point and time, they will then be available to pre-order on the JPPlayingCards website. I am sure we will hear and see much more about these cards during the summer...can't wait!

Normally I can't stand when the front and back borders don't match. But you're right- a paisley design like this wouldn't look right with borders. BLEED BABY, BLEED!
