Here's the next E deck because we really needed another color. They claim it is the "final" chapter in Kings but we all know too well how good Ellusionist is at final chapters in playing cards.

Apparently various shops are selling these already, not sure how that is even allowed. Just another thing to miff club members, so much for having a 24 hour preview window.

These are available at E for BC members (get your free deck). My membership expired a couple of days ago but I'm still on the BC email list apparently.

They have three decks (for free) this time around. The 1800 marked deck and the Inverted Kings. So much for new decks.

Hi Victor,

I have replied to your email personally so I assume this was posted after you contacted us but before you got a reply due to time zones.

I would like to clear something up with anyone who has any doubts:

We, as always, try to be as fair and ethical as possible for a small family business. So in the interests of transparency- We were emailed by Ellusionist (not just us-all retailers I assume) offering us the chance to stock the blood kings early before they released them. So we did. I asked if we could do pre orders and advertise them, they said yes so we did.

Now it would appear that no other retailer has so far picked them up on this offer (that I know of) but it would not make business sense for us to pass an oportunity like this up. So we didn't.

We are proud of our reputation for fairness and customer service, and would appreciate if people would not assume the worst - we did nothing we were not given permission to do. In fact we had a similarly popular release by another magic company that we did not release for pre order instantly as we were asked not to do.

If anyone has any further questions or curiosities feel free to email me personally, Paul.middleton@.

Thanks!

Thanks for the info, Paul! Victor can correct me if I'm wrong but when I read his post, I understood him to mean members of E's Black Club would be miffed, not JP.

Thanks Vasta!

I guess my reply was to both this thread and Victors email as we didn't get a response to my reply by the time I'd come across this thread.

From the email sent to us I assumed that the post above was critical of us again, if that wasn't the case my apologies - I obviously misread it.

The long and short of it I guess is that this thread isn't the sole reason for what I'd written above, but I thought it a good place to post it.

Are they really calling it Blood Kings?

The creative behind naming the decks must be well compensated to come up with sexy titles to severely underwhelming products. I resent that to a point.

For anyone who might have missed it, Ellusionist has released a V2 version which features a white tuck case and apparently a double backer and duplicate queen as opposed to the original Angle Z gaff, which they proclaim is dead. Ellusionist is really getting ridiculous with all these lame V2 decks. They proclaimed this would be the last of the Kings, so now they decide to re-release it in a new tuck case? What's next V2 Black Kings? PASS!

Everyone can hate me for this, but this is one of the few Ellusionist designs that I actually like. I am not a straight collector, so that might make the difference. I DO NOT own these-YET, but as far as a simple design for magic goes, I dig it. I also like NOC's though so... there's that. I get what you are saying though regarding the different releases. This one is pretty much pointless because the box change doesn't do anything.

The design is ok, my biggest problem is that Ellusionist seems to lie about everything. They already said Blood Kings were the last Kings deck, so what do they do? They try to get around that by creating a new version with a different tuck. If it's the last one, then it should be the last one.

Not much different than all their supposed "limited" decks, only available if you buy a brick or whatever, then they turn around and start selling them or magically find more in their warehouse. Case in point the Inverted Kings, they were given free to members and would have had a good value if left at that, but no they had to turn around and sell them.
