"The Story:

The latest edition of the Les Méliés series of playing cards by Derek Mckee and Michael Blau pays tribute to the iconic film A Trip to The Moon directed by the French filmographer and magician George Méliés. While the deck features the same intricately designed back, the Les Méliés Eclipse edition includes an updated tuck box. Most importantly, this deck encapsulates many secrets and features, that will enable you to captivate your audience and push the boundaries of their imaginations. We encourage you to discover the special features on your own. Voyage onward!

Back Design:

The latest edition of the Les Méliés series of playing cards still features the timeless back design from previous editions.

FACES:

The faces of the Les Méliés: Eclipse Edition playing cards are standard faces. However, we have changed the standard bright red to a dark red to enhance the elegant look of the playing cards.

ACE OF SPADES and JOKERS:

The Ace of Spades and the Jokers are the same as the previous editions of the Les Méliés series to maintain the tradition and tribute to the iconic film A Trip to The Moon.

TUCK BOX:

This latest edition includes an updated tuck box. The new design is simpler than previous versions, yet it continues to encapsulate the meaning and purpose behind the deck.

A Deck Made With The Magician in Mind:

The Les Méliés: Eclipse Edition cards were designed with the magician in mind. This deck is loaded with numerous features that will make them your “go to” deck for close-up, walkaround, and parlour performances. ;)"

Who is the printer of this edition ?

The originals (2013) in black were printed by USPCC.
Later there was a red and dark blue Edition (2014) printed by Legends.

I like this deck. I have the other 3 decks ( the original and both Voyagers edition). I probably will pick this up. I am also curious who printed these?

There has been a couple questions on who the printer is. They are printed by the United States Playing Card Company on a crushed paper stock. The feel of this deck is amazing and seems like they will last.

What is crushed paper stock? Also I don't see any major differences with this deck from the others.

I don't wish to hijack a thread, but I can't really start a new one either! We'll have these decks in the next week or so --> http://jpplayingcards.co.uk/Les-Melies- ... ying-Cards" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Crushed paper is a thinner stock and much easier to break in. Also it is very durable. Some decks that feature this finish are Blue Cherries and Red Saturns. I highly recommend it, one of my favorite finishes by USPCC.

The differences are:
1. It is a marked deck. Ever card can be identified.
2. Printed by USPCC.
3. Many hidden features for the magician.
4. Limited. (Only 2500 decks)

I'm guessing it's marked like the Nocs which would suck.

Also it would seem you are not the exclusive seller of these as everyone is selling them.

Hey Jerichoholic,

They are not marked like the Nocs. You can read every single card in the deck. It is a readable marking...not a code, similar to the Vintage 1800s. Believe it or not the photo where the hand is holding the deck showing the back design has a marked back. Once you see the PDF it makes it easy to understand and you can read them with just a glance. :)

As for exclusivity, we were the first out of any retailer in the world for the first few days to carry them. It said above "Exclusively avialable today" so we were a timed exclusivity per se. This also means we are the first to shipping them. Hopefully that clarified the confusion.

Thanks for the interest and have a great day!
