Hi I'm Alain Benoit, creator and designer of the Cartomancer Poker Deck nominated for Best Courts and Best Rookie Deck in this year's (2018) contest.

The creation of this deck has been a fantastic journey of love and discoveries. Having the deck funded through KS was truly amazing and allowed me to finally publish the deck of card that I could see only in my dreams.

I’m truly honored to be nominated, it is an unexpected surprise that I humbly welcome specially alongside so many great decks.

Your Cartomancer deck is truly spectacular and was nom'd by many that admired your uniquely inspired & beautifully designed deck! Actually, I don't mean to gush, but it's the first deck I've ever gotten that has made me seriously considering to get my first ever uncut of to hang above my desk in my home office so I can enjoy it all the time lol <3

Also, you've been nom'd in one more last category that I have yet to reveal/announce on IG but will later... it's the big one: 'Best Overall'! Congrats!

If you'd like, here's the nominations thread we created with pics and links of all the nom'd decks and their designers - even though the thread was created back at the start of December, the process of organizing the DOTYs started quite a bit earlier and was a joint effort from everyone here and is an event we're all super excited about!

Voting will open on Jan. 20 and will actually be running for an entire month, during which time it'll allow some members to get decks that they might not have been made aware of before and allow us to further promote 'em and their awesomeness!

Then, on the 1st of March, we'll be announcing winners of each category; here and probably through other social media to celebrate!
