[Rez] First year of collecting in pictures
Hi all. This is my modest collection of playing cards purchased in the last year. All decks are opened and enjoyed daily. I tend to collect the ones I find having the most creative design and since I’m practicing some cardistry, handling is also an important factor. I'm planning on steadily expanding my collection with specific decks from designers such as Jackson Robinson, Lorenzo Gaggiotti and UUSI (so if anyone is willing to sell Red Bohemias at a reasonable price please PM me
) Anyways, all the best to the UC community, may your unopened decks triple their value and the ones you seek be found at flea markets for $5 each

Nice collection. Thanks for sharing. I remember someone in the Bicycle Facebook group posted some decks he got in a flea market for like $5 included a Venexia White deck, which is like $50. He had no idea the deck was that valuable. So, yeah, you can get some great deals in flea markets. When I was just starting out, I managed to pick up over 100 opened decks from someone selling them off on eBay, I think I paid about $3-4 each for the collection, which included a lot of early Jackson Robinson decks.

If you can handle the $70 price tag, you should really consider buying Lotrek’s latest creation, Silk. His custom made decks are a thing of beauty.

Thank you both. I know about Lotrek's decks and I'm really looking forward to the Bosch inspired one

New addi(c)tions.
Open Portals by James R. Eads. Beautiful artwork throughout the deck, I really love the style. Went with the unlikely combo of red gilding and white stock and it worked. Can't faro shuffle them, though
Bohemia by UUSI was on my radar from day one but I couldn't justify $25 shipping cost to Europe for a single deck. Finally I've found a retailer in the UK with reasonable prices. They're called Pandora Playing Cards if anyone's interested.
